I can see the Jersey boys on this all have the same opinion, tell him to f-off. That does not represent your area very well crew. This forum is to help people, not screw them.

My opinion is exactly what it is.. it doesn't represent an entire state of people or owners. I've never screwed anybody on here and have sold tons of stuff so don't let my "opinion" on this subject leave a bad taste in your mouth for all of new jersey I just simply figured there were plenty of fair options set out on the table here but it wasn't good enough at least from what i've read so far

mmmm ok that was easy. Sure I end up with $185, turbotyaz gets his $500 back mike gets a great deal even with the "junk" heads and intake not worth $250. I am game.



And to counter point what some people wrote about if the shipper/seller has a problem he should cover it. To me, i dont think that would apply in this case. I never said this is an “as new item” and “works great”. If I did and something happened during shipping and I knew for a fact that it was perfect before I sent it then yes I agree with all of you 110%, I should then have to deal with the shipping company or take it out of my pocket myself.



I sold the stuff “as is” I told him up front I did not know if anything was wrong. The head could have been broke before I shipped it “even if I missed it, the broken piece was underneath the gasket that i never removed”, during shipping or even at his house it does not matter it was “as is” he took the chance.



By saying that I should be at fault on a “as is deal” is like telling me to be a prick to the entire syty world and say “I don’t want to get screwed so I am going to charge a bunch of money for rare parts and never give any kind of deals again” or only sell good deals to those who I know or have helped me out before. NO that does not work with me, I don’t care about "value" of something when I sell it I am not looking to make myself rich on these items I am trying to help the syty world out by giving good deals to those who need it, not make a profit on parts I no longer need. The only time I would ask for a good or high value is on something I don’t want to sell but would for the right offer or something like the eagle rods or GTQ74 turbo I have for sale that I may use again one day.



As far as it not being his problem with me not working and him having to wait for some type of payment, well I am not a store or business things happen and if it effects others then so be it, that is life I have no way to magically make money appear so I would expect out of common courtsey for someone to take that into account I never told him, oh wait one day I will work and come up with the money. I just asked for some time and understanding that things happen in life without warning.

Turbotyaz I must agree with Junior1 that the comments and smilies etc. "Not taking any sides, but putting "ripped off by raist103...with laughing smileys" in your signature isn't gonna get anything solved" and won't get you anywhere and may have actualy hurt you a bit in this case (being real adult and dealing with members is a key to all of us here and we do have the doghouse, that what it's for) but like I said, you did get a deal based on actual cost of the intakes and to mod them, also what these usualy sell for when available (and that's not just every day BTW). Again as I said, I also see a little blame on both sides here too. turbotyaz, if you still feel you are realy getting the short
end of the deal or at least not getting the "deal that you paid for", then the straight up fair thing to do is you pay the freight and return the whole "package of parts"( your out the return freight & ins.), Don refunds your money (he paid the freight & ins. to you) and Don sells the parts to recover.

Renz "the diplomat" has made an offer on the intakes and I can do somthing with the head / heads and Im sure that Don can do better on the other parts so in the interest of being strictly fair and putting this to bed, thats my last :2cents:

If turbotyaz wants his money back, and ships me the lower intake....then i'm buying the intake and heads. I'll have the broken head scrapped and build another one...and then consider selling everything as a set, or the intake / heads seperately.

And I'm not doing this to make money...just sick of reading this b.s.

Having done my research, I couldn't agree more with this statement, So suck it up man and get back to work before you destroy your standing with everyone here. Because the longer it drags out, the worst you look and nobody will do business with you again. To put it short they will think twice and maybe lean toward not dealing with you for the possibility of going thru the same thing. IMHO

He bought it from a blown motor, he was getting a grab bag of parts, modified lower vortec heads, etc. They could have been damaged in shipment, they could have been damaged before. Either way, he was offered a good refund, and he was being a dick about it.

I won't sell to him. And I would sell to Raist.
