Auto Addictions first runs on Meth

Well tonight was my first runs on meth injection!! In all it went well. My first pass was hot lap as i drove my truck to the track and they were running my lane as i pull up. My first pass was 10.97@125 @26psi starting the Meth as 5 psi. My intake temps only got to 115*. This was good as my previous runs were running 190* temps without meth. There were 2 oil downs and some dip shit ran over on of the timing boxes all that killed 2 or more hours of clean up and repairs. I got one last run at my normal 29psi and i ran 10.864@127MPH again air intake temps were less than 110*. This was the same tune that i went 10.70s on just with Meth this time. I suspect the meth rased the octane in the c116 and cause the truck to run richer witch slowed me down a bit. Now that i know its working ok I have to lean it out a touch to compensate for the high octane then try again. Its hard when you only get 2 runs a night to tune. Well thats Atco Raceway for ya.

Damn c16 and meth? guess you really don't want a chance of knock. Your truck leaves real nice though, squats out of the hole and goes. How is the boost ramping in?

the cone is placed in the grove so all the street tires on the slower cars don't tear it up. In his last thread I teased him a little since they "coned" him but he is fast enough to run either the other lane or without the cone

Typical most people find they have to take out some fuel when adding methanol.

you could just run closed loop so it will pull gasoline when the meth sprays and stay at your target afr.

i do this on my t/a. i spray over 100#/hr of meth on the car and i let bs3 pull what it determines to be 18% of my total fueling to stay around my target afr

you just need to get regular unleaded fuel back in the vehicle when you leave the track to catch the O2 before it lead fouls.

the 116+ meth may be slowing the burn so much that it costs you some hp at the same boost reguardless
