i know that all typhoons and syclones are ALL WHEEL DRIVE. and that the oldsmobile bravada is all wheel drive. is the trans, transfer case, etc... the same on an olds bravada as the typhoon/syclone? and could i convert a stock 2wd s10 blazer to run an Olds bravada AWD system?

If you cut off the front of the 2wd frame and welded the 4wd front half on it would work like a charm . Not the easiest of projects you can see.

Or just get a 4wd frame and be done with it .

Just buy a Bravada man....Then a totalled SyTy and swap everything you need over to the Bravada. That's what was done to mine, nothing is hacked up or anything. :)

As these guys have mentioned, 2wd & 4wd frames are completely different.

However to answer the rest of your question, Yes, the Bravada (thru '96 or so) did use exactly the same hardware (as did the AWD Astro thru '97) although the trans wasn't to the same specifications (SyTy have a specific valve body, among other things). After '97 ('98 for the Astro) the hardware is different (tcase is an "On Demand" unit, not a viscous coupling unit) but similar.
