Cladding Tabs

My friend is tearing the mexity apart and mentioned how most of the tabs are broken off behind the front bumper... I already ordered the plastic rivets, is there a kit or any part #'s to replace these tabs?

Who's done this before and can save me some grief?

Re: Cladding Tabs

I go to local body shops and get bumpers from wrecks or that they were going to throw out.. I try to match the compound as close as possible.. then i cut up the other bumper and make tabs out of it.

use epoxy or weld it to the cladding.

Smaug, do you still fix cladding? My friend doesn't think he can fix the two pieces... i'll just send them to you. :)

You can get that plastic weld epoxy stuff from an autobody shop or auto parts store. Get the Fusor or Duramix brands. I think CarQuest sells it. I used it on my friend's TY on his front cladding & it's still on the truck today. That was 2 years ago.
