Not sure which event I am going to try to make but if I make home coming I wll help with the tech sessions also. I can bring an ECM with a wide band wired into it and all the other hardware if needed. Love trying to get that onto the plane. LOL

I'll be doing one on the 80e. Complete teardown. I don't know if they wanted that out but I'll definitely be on board for that. No videos. I'm currently doing a video of how to do an all out build and I'm not gonna shoot myself in the foot. It will be limited to 12 people and only those that plan on doing their own. The guys giggling while they spill their beer on others need to find another booth. Probably the best way will be to preregister and I may do this one really early so guys don't miss out on the other festivities.

George, If you don't get 12 people to attend that are building their own 80e, then are you cool with filling in the spots with people that are still going to have you build it? (that is if you get enough interest to begin with) Reason I ask is that I love tech sessions and would like to learn something more about the internals of a tranny.

I will be glad to do this, if Dig comes I am sure he would help also.

It might be best to let the owner of the truck in question do the work -vs- myself that has done this enough times it is 2nd nature. That way any pitfalls we will see also.

This is a good thought. Those that do this all the time, we gloss over the stuff that's routine (to us). Better to have a 'victim' who can go through things themselves.

Depending on when it is, it's on my short list of events to attend this year. Heck, it is the list. Only thing stopping me would be a conflict with a family thing or oddball work thing.

Projector is a must. Need one with brightness/contrast that can do a not entirely dark area. If it turns out I can make it, I'll do slides.

Network connection for downloads. I've got an extra wireless G router if we can get a connection at the site, otherwise we'll have to come up with a Sprint/Verizon mobile card.

If we record the $59 thing, Jeff has to do it in drag. That's the deal.

No. I don't mind. I don't mind anyone that wants to attend as long as they are courtious of others. Just remember that it will be very detailed and will be boring for most that don't care much for the inside of the aluminum box. I'll also go into some programming issues/techniques for the TCI/pcs tcu.

There are a lot of sharp tools and parts in there. If you want blood, you'll probably see it before I'm done.

And this part will surely interest me as it will help once I can get the 80e done.

Re: any interest in tech sessions@homecoming??

My house is 10 min. for the meet. Garage is open to anyone that needs it. I would think if anyone wants to have A wrench session, maybe we could open it up on Sunday morning. I know everyone wants to get heading back home on Sunday but for thouse that want to stick around I would think Sun. would be best. Fri. & sat. will be pretty busy at the meet but I might be able to come up with A projector ( Dean were are you???) Anyhow sounds good to me.

I'm wondering if this will be better for doing the rebuild class? Power, light, roof in case it rains, etc.? Would you be willing to let us do that?

I would love to watch the code 59 thing or any other related learn and watch installations. Maybe a short presentation for something as basic as using & reading DM, tune up tricks, ANYTHING SYTY related. I also learn best by hands on and always need the help of others with the expierence when I get stuck. I always have it in the back of my mind that I need to this thing to get me to work the next day. Great thread.
