any special test i can preform to isolate the problem???

Sit in truck, push forward with leg, drop into park and see what happens. Or, conversely, put in park on a slope and see hat happens. And, as asked, is the front driveline installed?

Re: creeping foward while in park?

It is possible your shifter cbale has a problem. You could probably eliminate that though by seeing if you have Reverse. If it is inching forward and your on flat ground, it has to be something with shift linkage. If it is doing this on a hill, you could have a viscous clutch going bad. Really, we need more info. Get in it while its in Park, give it gas like Don said, see if it tries to drive, if it does then I would bet you have shifter issues.

Re: creeping foward while in park?

Adjust the shifter cable, its not engaging park all the way. Same thing happened to our Sy. It might be a little stiff to get into park, but it should click in pretty good when its all the way in.

ditto. you will need to loose the adjustment nut on the lever assembly and move it towards the rear of the truck about 1/4 inch.
