Looking for someone in DFW area...

First, a little background on myself. I just moved back home to the DFW area after 6 years in the military. While I was in Hawaii I bought a Sy and am looking forward to rebuilding it. Hopefully it will be on par with everyone elses on this site.

Well on to the main reason I am posting this. There is a shop called Mac's in Whiskey Flats that deals in turbo diesel performance. But alos does work on other turbo vehicles. Outside sits a Green Ty which apparently belongs to a guy that works there. I was wondering if he posts here or if anyone has been to this shop and had any luck.

That is definately them. Thanks for the link. I had searched for it once but didnt get any results. I had stopped by once, talked to the owner and he mentioned the guy with the Ty but he was busy. He didnt have much info about it other than the guy built it himself and was knowledgable of them. I should probably go back and touch base with them again, but I thought he might be on here and could get in touch with him.

Wow... I never knew there was another Ty out here let alone a green one...Thats not far from me at all.

I drove by there yesterday on my lunch break and sure enough...there is a green/grey sitting out back of that shop. I have worked down here for 7 months and have a green/grey myself, yet never knew that one existed so close.
Im gonna go talk to him one day when I drive my Ty to work which I have done 2 times since July. lol

I went by and talked to the mechanic, Joe. His Ty is a daily driven truck thats got some go fast to it. When I went, there was a Syclone in the shop they were working on. So that day we had a gathering of 3 trucks out there. lol

Yeah, that was my truck. I took it up there cause it was running like crap. Joe told me that you stopped by the day after I dropped it off. He seems like a really cool guy and is very knowledgable about the trucks. I picked it up the other day and it runs awesome. Now I can drive it around without worrying about it dying on me. We should all get together some time for a meet....

Oh yeah... Got my truck back and it runs awesome! I have been having so much fun that I forgot to give you all the update!

Cool. The difference in my truck was like night and day. It was a pretty simple fix but I sent it to him just to be on the safe side.

I really wish I could have made it out to the show you guys had. I wouldnt have been able to bring my Sy though. It is in no condition for people to see, LOL. Plus the registration has been expired for a few months now. Its need some TLC and some money put in to it, which is something I dont have any of right now. Maybe one day though...
