Yeap...I know he's suppose to be one of the good guys on the board....but it's been quite some time since I've heard form him. I received an email from his wife last saying that he was sick and had gone into the hospital. That was in early May. I know he hasn't logged on since late April. So I've been just hanging out since then. The number he gave me unfortunately hits a fax machine. So was just hoping that someone else on here may have a good number for him....could maybe contact him or something like that. And yea...he's located in Saipan.

Unfortunately I have some BAD news... I emailed James and his wife told me the same thing; he's become very ill and she's spending a lot of time beside him in the hospital. I sent along my best wishes...
I looked up the disease and apparently it can be life threatening. Let's hope he pulls through..

Yeap...she got back with me as well. Turns out he's in pretty bad shape. Gave my best to her and the family. Hopefully he'll pull through with minimal side effects. If I understood her correctly...he's at home now....but still confined to the bed. It's very life threatening. I had two friends in high school die from it. I feel for him.Tooky said:

Wow, that's sad news.... let's send out some positive thought to him and his family.. wonder if there is some way, as a community, we could send him a get well of some sort?

Ok guys....this is the reply I got back from James' wife. He's been hit with a bout of spinal menangitis (sp).
Mr. Saunders,
"He is not able to move very well at all right now and his speech is pettry slured. The doctors say that the spinal damage may or may not get better with time and physical therapy? Another fellow from one of the clubs he is a member of has checked in several times also (maybe the same , his name is Tooky?) and yes you may tell the others that he has been in pretty bad shape. I will tell him you are checking in on him as well. The doctors say that a full days exercise right now is just getting his legs to work long enough to make it to the bathroom back but he can do it with a walker and enough time. If all goes well he will be coming home next week and start therapy.

I just wanted to give everyone an update on James. It was spinal meningitis that got a hold of him. Turns out he was misdiagnosed with Malaria for quite some time.....which made the situation even worse. By the time he was diagnosed correctly....it had progressed into additional problems. I believe he said it had something to do with fluid building up around his brain. It in turn led up to him being in a coma for about a year and a half.
I just wanted to let everyone know that he is up and about so to speak. He's awake...in therapy...and can manage to roll himself around in a wheel chair. It's one of those things where he didn't even know he was out of touch for such a long time. He's got minimum movement throughout his body which ofcourse is making everything really tough on him. But he seems to have a really good since of humor after all that has happened to him.
Also....I have to say this. We had unfinished business between James and I. One of those transactions that just wasn't finished due to James not having what he thought he had when he sold it to me. This transaction was almost 3 years ago....and it's been that long since I had heard from him. I honestly just kind of assumed that I had just been taken for a ride to the tune of 1320 bucks and couldn't really do anything about it. I mean if the man is sick...he's sick.... and ofcourse....the thought always crosses your mind that maybe it's just an excuse. Unfortunately.....he was really sick. Like....really in a bad way.
But here's the thing. James got in touch with me! I didn't try to track him down or anything like that. He got to a point where he could start thinking of everything that had happened before he got knocked on his ass....and remembered that we had unfinished business and wanted to make everything right. He contacted me! I can't tell you how awesome it is that there are still people out there that have a moral core and a conscience. He's making the whole transaction right. I hate to say it....but I really feel that most people would just say "ah screw it...it's been 3 years"......but James put forth the effort to contact me and get everything straightened out.
I just want to say that James is truly an awesome individual...and I wish him the best of luck getting better and life may get back to somewhat normal. May he have a quick return to the community.
