Mine was the passenger side. The boots are like 20 bucks, but you can get a new half shaft (front axle) from the dealer for 75. That's the route I went, and it wasn't hard at all

Ya! I got it fixed, mine was the cv boot/axle. I changed that out and fixed the noise
