Re: rear main seal
look for a rear main sleeve. Its made to fix this problem. The rear seal creates a subtle groove in the crank. The sleeve will compensate for this. Easy to install with the tool it will come with.
do you know if these steering shafts will work on a 93 full size chevy pickup. I'm rebuilding an old truck to become a nice tow vehicle. If it fits I would like one of these shafts.

Not sure if it has a 2wd end piece or if the output shaft is different 2wd vs 4wd. If it can be used for 2wd and has a tailpiece I would take it. Lmk

putting together a v6 tow vehicle and the 4l60e has 196k on it. lol

Internally balancing is done with adding the metal thru the crank counter weights. In my case a simple die grinder at the tack welds holding the weight to the flexplate was all that was need.

my first motor had been internally balanced. Had the same issue. So i got this bright idea to remove the weight on the B&M flexplate I put on it. Guess what. No more vibration. Just a thought.

bill, providing the flanges are thick and straight just use some hi heat silicone and metal to metal. all I ever used and zero issues.

to answer the original question. speaking from experience...
With c16 and dfi I seem to recall about 26psi at that compression.
Of course cam, and cam timing and good heads and intake will play a bit of a part.
