Anybody have the part number for the ALDL wire harness? Or does that come with the ECM part # 16198263. I can't imagine it would.
Anybody have any ideas on why the 'G' pin is missing and the wire behind it?
Oh, and I see what the guy meant by the ALDL being "damaged". The 'G' pin for the fuel pump isn't there. Nor is there a wire coming out of the back of the port. WTF! Am I in the right place? It's the little serial type port mounted under the dash on the drivers side just to the right of the...
Ok, today I tried the paper clip trick in the ALDL port. It did just like Daron said, the check engine light blinked for half a sec. then nothing. So I guess this means I'll need a new ECM.

Well I got there and the story changed to two hours to figure there was a "burnt" circut board in the ECM. The offical invoice says that the ECM would not communicate. I argued a little but I guess I wussed out and forked over the $136 bux for nothing much.

Ok, I turn the key over and the engine cranks over but I let go of the key the engine just dies. NGK UR5 Spark plugs? They look good. New Conrad Cap and Rotor? It looks good. Maybe it's the fuel filter or pump. So I take to the shop down the street, "for a professional opinion" :-?
