Re: new member from south texas first we went with a 5.3 h.o. wich is the diff is aluminum block 6.0 cam and better flowing heads. so we did a custom cam for it and after a few miles oil pump gave and sent a 6.0 block and change the pistons so it stroked to 370. its a fast truck

im from south texas right next to the border. i drive an 06 gto cam, full bolt on, nitrous fasted to date with traction issues 11.81 n/a and 10.91@130 with 150 shot. also have a 2000 single cab z71 5.3L with bolt ons, cam, and ls1 heads never ran it at the track current project is a 2 door chevy...

Re: v8 colorado my younger built an 04 single cab 2wd 5.3L aluminum block cam only and nitrous went 6.80 1/8 and let off cause no cage. now we installed a 370 iron block with ported heads and nitrous havent ran it that good best wa 10.70 in the 1/4 not spraying off the line we gettin a ford 9...
