Re: trans dilemma... the trans is from a '93 1500 pickup so that would be the first year for the 4L60e right? or was it 92.

Have been in the process of rebuilding my trans and ran into some problems while taking it apart. About 75% of the hard parts are no good and I'm looking at spending a little more than I thought on a rebuild. My friend just got me a 4L60e for $100 that has no reverse but has all forward gears...

Re: Front Diff Carnage (with pics) GM ASEP program hooked me up. I can get any snap-on, matco, or SK tool at 50-60% off. I think I payed 3600 for the box and an 200 (or more cant remember) piece apprentice set of tools.

Well finally got around to taking out the entire drivetrain on my clone and was pleseantly suprised when I pulled the front diff. I knew it was blown cause the previous owner had told me and when I got it what little fluid left was leaking out. All I can say is "WOW". Just look at the pictures...
