Re: first outting

More timing will help, but I still it should run 12's with 14 degree of timing. I would think it should not feel lazy off the launch.

What is your 1/8 mile time and mph?

Re: first outting

A good running Syclone can run mid 12's with the stock turbo and ~18psi.

Are your tires older and hard (i.e. they don't hook up)? It seems that you pushing through the brakes, but I know my...

Re: first outting

How do you launch your truck at the line?

Do you just push on the brake and step on the gas?

Or do you rev in neutral while pushing on the brake and then build boost with the gas?

Re: bottom end

No one makes a bottom end girdle for the 4.3. Reread what auto addictions wrote. As you approach 500hp, the pistons and bearing become an issue. The rods aren't far behind.

Re: 1" lowering question

I don't have set back plates. The springs seem to line up the wheels properly.

BTW my avatar picture is with the stock springs.

Re: prop shaft boot gone,,, so what?

The problem is that if the prop shaft breaks, it often dents floor & damages the shifter cable. It can also break the transmission case or damage the shifter in the cab (the shifter cable get...

Re: 1" lowering question

I have a battery where the spare tire was mounted, but I don't normally carry a spare tire.

The 3" drop is for regular S-10's. SyTy's already have lowering springs from the factory, so that is...

Re: Typhoon #1215 Mods

I would use the factory fan controller. My truck stalled out at idle when the fan kicked on until adjusted fan anticaption IAC counts in code 59.

The port going to the throttle body will be have the potential for boost and vacuum. Under boost the pcv valve will close. (Non operational).

The port going to the intake tube will always have...

Re: Sy 2067 ebay 3,500 buy it now 4,858k miles

Good point. 5k could be when it was last connected. IMO if the condition does not match the mileage, than the low mileage is irrelevant.

Re: Wastegate to Turbo

Their is nothing wrong with the stock solenoid. Infact I have seen many other turbo vehicles retrofit their cars to use GM 3 port solenoids.

The boost control issues are from stock wastegate...

Re: Wastegate to Turbo

It would basically build no boost like that. Before you connect up the wastegate, check (replace) all the vacuum lines. The wastegate may have disconnected because it was over boosting.

Re: still over boosting

To me it's looks like you have a Saudi resonator or something like that. It probably over boosting more because it's cold out and making more hp.

Have you adjust the wastegate arm length?
