Re: Got my A$$ handed to me twice

I have see a few SRT4 at the track and they all seem to have 120-130mph traps. With the mods I your signature, a 20g on a stock motor isn't going to cut it. Downshift to 2nd wasn't going to make a...

Re: My 91 GMC of 13 years Stolen from front of house Atlanta GA

Wtf $1648! Did they miss a zero? They are going for more than that on copart.

What are they using for comparables? I would ask for an independent appraisal. Clearly the Mitchell is wrong.

Re: Break in pass

12 degrees of timing is also super conservative. I gain 4 mph in the 1/4 mile mph by upping my timing from 14 to 19 degrees.

Re: Tires for 9.5 x 16 wheels?

I am running 255/50-16 MT drag radials right now. I haven't had a chance to run them at the track, I expect to take a trip to the track in the next 1-2 months. So far I like them. The extra...

Re: valve spring drop in replacement

The stock cam has so little lift and mild ramp rates that a mild spring would be all that is needed. I would probably just leave it. I have yet to see anyone post conclusively that they have weak...

Re: valve spring drop in replacement

That is going to be a lot of work for what is probably going to be 10hp on stock cam/stock turbo motor.

Re: help with the quest for 11's

I would just rebuild the stock one unless your trying to keep for the future so it will be number matching. A high mile SyTy short block is only worth its value as core.

Re: How much knock is normal?

The knock counter seems to start up at random number. I would not worry about the initial counts, but if the counts are increasing and ECM response to those knock counts as spark retard.

Re: Miles per gal

I usually get around 13-14mpg driving a mix of city highway. Sometimes it dips in to the 12mpg if I am fooling around with it. I can get 19-20 mpg on highway if I stay out of boost, but that is a...
