Re: WTB Camshaft

My syclone OEM cam is marked 12 ... 148, so maybe not all SyTy's have the 714 cam. I am very confident that my motor is 100% original. I was able to see it installed in the block with intake and...

What is the history of your low mile truck. How long have you owned it? Mileage? Owners? Truck number?

Re: tire size

That has to be a typo. I just was looking at 17 x 9.5" rim and found out that the rim width for 245/45-17 is 7.5-9.0.

Re: corvette magnesium wheels

I found them on gmpartsdirect.com. Maybe they are discontinued and the website isn't updated. I did notice that they didnt have the 17" front wheels.

Re: corvette magnesium wheels

This week I was looking at GM Z06 wheels pricing and stumbled upon the pricing of N73 C5 Magnesium Wheels, the current GM list price is $124.07 list price each for the 18" wheels. From a discount...

Re: Chip ID info

I searched the forum. The 40# injector ATR chip is SY137E. The SY137A isn;t going to run right with 40# injectors.

The Pitbull uses the stock 2 bar map sensor. The base fuel pressure should...

Re: Chip ID info

I don't think the ATR Sy137a was for 40# injectors. Put in a set of stock injectors and it should work.

Re: tire size

245/45-17 is the same height as the stock 245/50-16 so it will not affect your speedometer.

Re: How far are you willing to travel for a major SyTy Event?

I have driven my truck the 1100 miles to BG. I have driven further with Dennis Kaese, but that distance is really pushing for it me. On longer trips I would probably fly in. I would have likely...

Re: spark plug gap

I looked the Syclone supplement and sure enough it says 0.045. It should be 0.035 and I am guessing the service manual supplement is a mistake.

For a 100 % stock truck I usually set it to...

Re: Any Consensus On Sealing Intake 2 Vortec Heads

I am also very careful torquing the couple bolts that go into newly drilled holes of the Vortec heads that only a couple threads. I torque down all the other bolts first and then torque those bolts...

Re: Stock Turbo Question (exhaust side)

IMO The stock 8cm2 exhaust housing is well matched with the 17c turbo/td06 wheels. The 17c compressor wheel starts to get out of it efficency range in the 18-20 psi range and putting in a larger...

Re: Code 59 or Turbotweak chip?

I agree. For the most SyTy owners, the Turbotweak chip is probably better solution. I am using code $59; I like the challenge, full control and rewards of doing it myself, but its not for...

Re: refurbishing wheels

To me it seems like the typhoon 'GMC' is painted on the center caps. I have a NOS sealed center cap and a couple low mile original finish center caps. After the snow melts and my garage become...

Re: Replacement turbo question

350hp will be a cake walk. I have a later factory balance shaft block bottom with Vortec and custom cam. My truck is making 450+hp at 14psi. Even if I had stock cam and Vortec heads, I don't...

Re: Replacement turbo question

You might want bigger injectors (60#), that turbo will be able to max out those injectors.

Re: Old ATR catalogs

The TTA/GN ATR catalog was a separate catalog. I used to have one, but I think I lost it years ago when I moved out of my parents house years ago....

Re: Turbo ID

Both of those are good turbos. It depends on what you goals and build is. The 6266 should have the potential to make 100hp more than the 6031. The 6031 is probably better suited for a stock short...
