Re: intercooler pump

The stock intercooler system only holds 1/2 gallon of fluid. Higher IC pump capacity just isn't necessary. I had a Johnson pump and it seemed to pump more liquid from the lower CCHE than the fluid...

Re: What to do on exhaust system

If you want quiet, I would look into a different muffler.

If I continue to have inspection issues in MA (due to strict exhuast noise laws), I was thinking about using dynomax quiet flow muffler....

Re: Tires with consideration to drag racing

I never did check the viscous coupler and it did have high miles. It was fine with the stock 245 tires. I probably only used the 275 for 1000 miles and went back to the stock wheels & tires.

Re: Everyone, please read

My condolences to you and your family. I only met your dad once at the Nats. I got spent some time with him holding up lowered tent as a storm passed threw.

Re: Tires with consideration to drag racing

My experience is from using the 275/40 tires/wheels from my 86 Corvette. I put them on my Typhoon which had a completely rebuilt front suspension. (Shocks, ball joints, bushings, tie rods, idler...

Re: Tires with consideration to drag racing

Short story, I haven't made a decision yet.

Longer version of where I am.

I am leaning towards buying a set of BF Goodrich g-Force Sport Comp-2 and see how they hook. Don W. uses Khumo A/S...

Re: Saudi Syclone on Ebay

I would say its 10k overpriced and perhaps less. The KB air intake hose often ruined the AC lines. The ATR upper IC often puts a hole in the heater box. So those two mods concern me. Who know...

No gasket on the downpipe, turbo to manifold, or exhaust manifold to head.

Re: Vendors / Members Beware "Juan Ramirez" Denver CO

People purposely ripping off a small business like that boils my blood. If you want to pursue going to small claims court, I will donate enough frequent flyer miles to you for a free flight. You...

Re: another what would you do turbo ?

That should be no problem assuming it running 100% (runs clean on a scan tool with minimal to no spark retard). Sometimes that is easy said than done.

Re: another what would you do turbo ?

My :2cents: about turbos on stock motors. I like to group them into 3 options. stock, bolt in and turbo/DP combo.

The stock turbo is efficient at stock boost levels. A bigger turbo may have...

What is your modification plan for the truck?

Re: 92 Teal/Argent

I was referring to the new owner asking 23,900. I didn't know that you were a 'flipper' and neither do I care.

Re: Front coilover setup with a-arms

I am pretty sure they are PEP. I helped an owner install a set and deal with bilstein coilovers clearance issues. The failures were due to shocks breaking from the suspension binding.

This...

Re: max valve lift with stock pistons & Vortec 1.94 valves?

I should have written turbo instead of FI (My intent was forced induction) because superchargers don't have the exhaust back pressure in the manifolds that would exceed the intake pressure. I still...

Re: max valve lift with stock pistons & Vortec 1.94 valves?

You will be fine. I have vortecs with 2.00/1.60 valves and .531 lift cam on balance shaft shortbblock. The balance shaft pistons should have less clearance than stock pistons.

Re: max valve lift with stock pistons & Vortec 1.94 valves?

You will different valve springs. I used a custom cam and would recommend one. If I had to use an off the shelf cam, I would use a 415 over 430. The 430 is a NA cam. It's lobe seperation 110 is...
