Re: PPG on eBay

I think Jimmy mentioned about the ppg being painted the test colors and Merk shot Jimmy down.

Re: Water injection question

The 7th injector sprays fuel but since it sprays fuel into the IAC passages, it ends up dripping.

Re: Syclone 0528 Dracut, MA

I am pretty sure I looked at that truck in 2001 before I bought my Syclone. It was a recovered theft it also overboosted and IIRC the motor was replaced. The owner worked at a junkyard. I think it...

Re: FS: ITS 60-1 DBB turbo, 3" DP, ITS mini-gate, dump, High flow cat

Also I agree the 1.056" wastegate hole needs to be opened up. I ported mine to 1.20". prior to my porting my turbo (pte61bb) would overboost to 18psi at just half throttle.

Re: FS: ITS 60-1 DBB turbo, 3" DP, ITS mini-gate, dump, High flow cat

I will take the DP wastegate dump high flow cat if you can find a buyer for the turbo.

Re: Truck Problem

Is your intial timing set properly? The 43psi of fuel pressure should be about 32-33 (18-20" of vacuum) at idle. If you have low vacuum at idle you may have an intake vacuum leak. 38psi with...

Re: Frustrated trying to find exhaust. would a 2.5" system work?

I would find a place that do 3" mandrel bends or wait for RPM catback exhaust.

Re: Truck Problem

Is your fuel pressure with vacuum disconnected? Vacuum line should be off and I suspect I was on because I doubt it would even fire with 20 base fuel pressure. I don't know exactly what hood burns...

Re: Truck Problem

Have you changed the flywheel or starter on your typhoon?

What do you have for heads, cam, injectors and tuning equipment?

Re: ATR Battery Re-location Kit

ATR battery relocation not worth copying because it had its short comings.

Re: Stock IC pump GPM?

Most people upgrade because the stock pump craps outs. Additional pumping volume doesn't make a difference. The IC system only holds a little over a 1/2 gallon. The so upper and lower reservoirs...

Re: Alky Tuning ?'s

I am guessing you have a non progressive alky kit. I would lower the turn on psi.

Re: Sell Syclone for Charger??

It's up to you. I had the chance to get a rust free 70 oiginal 440 plum crazy challenger that hasn't been on the road for 25 years for free. (It was my dads that he bought slightly used in dec 70)....

Re: How much did you pay for your Ball joints to be replaced?

That is a better way than how i did mine. I removed the a-arms, drilled the rivet head.and then pressed out the remaining rivet. (I was surprised to find the rivet didn't easily slide out) I also...

Re: Sorry for being a douchebag.

The old Jimmy had a running a Typhoon and spent his time driving the wheels off the truck, posting kill stories and talking smack about 5.0's , fbodies, lightnings, etc.

Re: Torque converters and rpm

The 9/11 converter seems like they are on the loose side from my experience and what i have read. I had a 2800 rpm 9/11 stall and it ran like your 9/11 does. IIRC you have a gt35r turbo with...

Re: Since Mr Syclone keeps his numbers on the DL. How much AWHP to run 8s?

I think Robert dyno'd his syclone when he was in the US. I don't remember the numbers but they weren't as big as I would have expected. IMO the number that really counts is what he ran at the track.

Re: white/white ty on craigslist

I don't think that Typhoon was ever exported to Germany and back. I think it always stayed in the US while Sigo was station overseas.

Re: REBUILD of 92 TY 0020

I would not permantly mount the fuel pressure guage on the fuel rail. Back in the day there were a few broken fuel rails because of this. I did something similar when I first bought my Syclone...

Re: DM runs with NO KR?

If the knock sensor wasn't torqued enough ( i thinks its 14ft-lbs) it would read less or if it was relocated its a little less sensitive. If your worried you can always read the spark plugs.

I wonder if the motor has higher than stock compression pistons.
