Hesitation on at like 10# of boost

This forum is pretty dead now. It's my first time back in months. I think there is more activity on Facebook although I would take any advice there with a grain of skepticism because there are a lot of experts there that may not necessarily be experts. First, are you getting any check engine...

    Intake tube/Seats

The ridges are there in the photos of the bottom but don't know if they are there on the inside, or if it is smooth. Would seem odd to reproduce it on the outside but not on the inside.

    Intake tube/Seats

Nope. Don't have Facebook. I can follow posted links to individual posts, but I don't have a presence there. I went back to the link you posted and followed the thread but never saw an update. Since you posted the link here, I assumed this was either you and your product or you were following...

Any word on these? Did they make the cut?

    Intake tube/Seats

This was on a FB post. Not the best pic. Hard to tell exactly what is going on but it is enough to make me wonder if flow would be impacted.

    Intake tube/Seats

Definitely interested. Is this you or anyone on the forum? I think I would like the metal one better than the fiberglass. Would be concerned a little about heat soak but otherwise I think it would flow better than the fiberglass one. The fiberglass one looked kind of rough on the inside and just...

    Intake tube/Seats

Thanks guys. I just found them on e-bay too. He's asking $5 more there, $355, but doesn't say anything about a paint option in his listing. For $150 though, I think I can paint it myself, lol. The problem is that the hood pad tends to rub the tube and will rub the paint. It would have been nice...

    Intake tube/Seats

Anyone have a decent intake crossover tube they would be willing to let go of that they don't want an arm and two legs for or know of anybody making reproductions. I had a little incident with mine today and I am now in need of a replacement. Cracks on the ends are acceptable as long as the main...

    Any word on this?

    Coolant temperature wire ( gauge)

My needle barely moves at all. I do have a 160 thermostat but on hot days with the a/c on, the temps get close to 200 and the gauge still doesn't move far. I monitor my temp with a ScanmasterG which displays what the computer sees. I have tried a couple of different stock senders for the gauge...

I think that was a good price. Hope it went to a good home.

E-bay Syclone, less than two days left.

Not mine and don't know if anyone is interested but: https://www.ebay.com/itm/115612583351

    Sy 702 eBay, project (sold)

Looks like it could be a good candidate. Love the Tasmanian Devil floor mats. The only things that bother me is no title and I'm sure he doesn't have any of the cladding since he doesn't mention it. In fact, the cost of the cladding might be the whole reason he is selling, o_O, lol.

Temp gauge stuck and not working

First, check your coolant level. Low coolant can cause the gauge to not read. The sensor has to be in contact with the coolant and low coolant will cause air pockets where the sensor can't function, but you should see periods of the gauge reading and not. Next, remove the green wire and ground...

    Checking in

Not an OG and I don't FB either but here is where I go for help. Thankfully my truck is in decent shape so don't really need to check in much. I don't visit often but when I do, seems all of the new messages have been bots. I would be here more if there was more activity, lol.

Just a FYI on Apple Airtags being used by criminals.

    Crossover Tube

I rebuilt the ends on mine with plastic and epoxy similar to how the metal insert is done above. Just have to be careful to not crank down on the clamps too much. Just enough to snug them down without flexing the plastic too much.

    Removing The Dashboard

I don't think anyone makes one that is a true direct fit for the Sy/Ty dashes because our instrument cluster and surround is a little different than regular S series trucks. The one they do carry may need to be trimmed just a little for a nice fit in that area but the rest of it fits fine. I had...

A few turbo 6's at the Charlotte Auto Fair

Thanks. Glad you came out. The crowd was pretty good on Sat. and we got a lot of attention including one guy who insisted that 80's and 90's performance was on the way up because the 55-57 Chevy crowd is dying off. Morbid and disturbing, especially since what I drove to high school, was a 57 Bel...

A few turbo 6's at the Charlotte Auto Fair

That's my Sy and that's me sitting on the wall behind it. :D Just a few other tidbits. We're a mixed group of GM's turbo six triplets. Turbo Regals, Sy/Ty's, and there are a couple of turbo Trans Am owners too. The red Ty was sold by the current owner and just recently bought back from a...
