    I bought a non ac delco distributor. And no matter what I do timing wise under boost it’s. It is not happy. So I got an ac delco reman. Thing is they don’t look exactly the same. Does it matter. Left is what I’m replacing which matches the rusty crusty one. On the right is the ac delco one.

    That’s exactly what happened. I changed the knock sensor with one from autozone. Wrong one right off the bat. Put a new one in and we’re back in business. Thanks everyone

    I first replaced the I CM that didn’t fix it so then I replaced the distributor that came with an ICM and of course a cap and rotor so I’ve done both but what’s in there now is what came with the distributor do you think I should replace the ICM with the other one that I had bought?

    So been troubleshooting poor running under boost. Was retarding the spark terribly high. Did the norm - plugs, wires, distributor, rotor and cap all replaced with good parts. Set the timing - disconnected the tan wire, 0'd out the timing light, set it to 0. Distributor had to be adjusted about...
