Re: SRT vs. TY or SY

Yeah GSX-Rs are great bikes and I have a few friends that own them, but I'm all about the big twin. RC51=

I'd rather spend even less on a decent fox body mustang and have all the left over cash to make her humm

Re: SRT vs. TY or SY

Yeah, Fox bodies can be crazy fast cars. I've had many friends with some Fox bodies in the 12s for very little. There is also a gray with black stripe notch that passes by my work everyday and when he gets on it you can hear the roots type blower. He seems to drive it everyday so it seems to be a pretty streetable and torquey setup. When he gets on it, it mu****in goes. Like to catch up to him one day to see what his setup is.

Re: SRT vs. TY or SY

I had a Pontiac GTP (300hp+). My friend has a 04 SRT4. He had a few mods. We were even on the track. We both were in the mid 13's. He would be a little bit quicker the times he got good shifts. He oncw had a GN that would kill anything. Pulling 10's with it. A total sleeper. I also had a 400hp 57 belair. Was fast but always lost traction. Never had a real traction problem with my GTP. Thought about a SRT4. my wife has the neon r/t. Its a great little car that gets 35mpg. Remember the SRT4 get good gas milage. I wanted something different and always wanted a Sy. I have yet to race my friend because of the rain. I said I will race in the rain.LOL. At least he is not driving a HONDA.

Don't think anybodies bashed you yet.. If you can't take a little constructive criticism then why are you on a message board? We all give it.. and we all take it just not nearly as much or as bad as most message boards or forums.

Re: SRT vs. TY or SY

Yeah man, I wouldn't say this thread turned bad. I have learned that this board is very fair and most of the members own and/or love many other types of performance vehicles. You just can't deal in absolutes. Going around telling everybody that you have smoked one certain car and that makes it so you can take all versions of it is closed minded. Like was mentioned above, this is a message board and a little criticism is typical to keep people honest. Take it for what it's worth and have a little fun. We are all enthusiasts here.

Re: SRT vs. TY or SY

I have a camera but no one to hold it cause when you add an extra 200 lbs for someone to hold a camera just to prove to someone else that i won you wont be as quick....just like i said i know what i killed and that is good enough for me. My bro knew nothing bout the SRT and he did not believe me that i could smoke a lightning so one night low and behold we found one rolling with three people just my exhaust as a mod and only boostin 12 lbs we smoked him by 3 cars and still pulling hard. did that 3 times. no match. but n-e-who.

negitive criticism is saying SRTs suck hahah or check this vid out of one 03 SRT (which are the slowest I might add) i never once said you guys trucks suck or check this vid out of someone makin fun of SRTs......who ever made that vid probably got there ass handed to them and got mad.

Re: SRT vs. TY or SY

the video is funny but I saw one last month that showed a honda ripping on a viper,Z06, Ta's, Stangs, oh and yes even a Sy. Its sometimes the person fixing the vid. I once had a civic pull next to me and then jump on it. I did not race him but I bet in the video I lost that race?? We where already going 80mph. Whats to prove... who can go from 80-140 the fastest??? who gives a $hit

Re: SRT vs. TY or SY

Hey new to posting, but long time reader. Im a huge fan of the syty, but I own a buick. Its a gs so dont chastise me yet, its still a sleeper. I must agree weeler on this. I have put alot money into a car that wouldnt be thought of twice by cars like the srt-4. Yet I can beat them, and mustangs and camaros. Going fast costs money, how fast do you want to go? Thats the ultimate question. As in regaurds to your kills, hhhmm. Wouldnt mind seeing some of them again with a bit more speed involved. Especially the ss and lightning. See if there's a check after that.
