Nice! Good video. It's amazing what proper tuning above all can do for our trucks.

I need to quick looking at Syclones... Makes me want to trade my Ty for one...

DAQ What -are- the rules for a stock turbo truck anyway? Just wondering since I doubt I'll be that quick but when I get this darn thing to run I have every intention of being somewhere in the 12's.

This might be dumb...but, how did you pull off a faster 1/4 mile time with a slower 60'? Something go wrong on the pass that we watched?

The previous weekend I had a 1.674 and only went a 12.24. The truck spins on every run. The 60' depends on how bad it spins. Hopefully the Green Dots will fix this.

Stock Turbo
*Any Tire Allowed
*Stock type leaf rear suspension,No traction bars etc. Fiberglass springs,lowering blocks permitted.
*Any trans
*Front suspension-any
*Stall converter is permissable.
*AWD
*Stock manifolds No headers
*Stock TD06-17 turbo with stock 8cm exhaust housing
*Stock unported heads must be used. If L35s are on the truck, they must be unported, and the owner must
provide documentation from GM that this truck was delivered with L35 heads.
*SyTy Intake manifold
*Engine internals, cam, etc, must all be stock. Production block with wet sump oiling.
*Stock upper intercooler, no restriction on rest of system
*Alcohol/water injection as anti-detonant permitted.
*No NOS
*Stock ECM (injector driver mods ok)
*Any chip
*Truck must weigh at least 3500# with driver, Ty must weigh 3800# with driver
*Ty gets .4 head start

Sweet, that thing is flying for a stock turbo.

But i have to wonder, how much of the performance is being helped by the 4L80E trans??

Do you think the truck woudl be just as fast with 700R4 in it??

Before I started to have all the problems with the 700r4 the truck ran a 12.32 @109.74. This was with a generic tune in Oct 2004. Ultimate T3-24 to be exact. So it was not a pooch and 4l80e made it magically quicker. As quick....well that is hard to say because we proably couldn't get it to the track without breaking to get it tuned.

Yes straight methanol and 93 octane. Madison Scott is a much better tuner than her daddy.....if you can keep here from playing sponge bob.
