Re: tuning on ebay?

Since they list a bunch of things that don't apply to the syty, I would say they are a bulk get rich take your money and do nothing tune.

WTF would they need your current chip info if it is for a syty?

Re: tuning on ebay?

I asked them some simple questions that any chip maker could answer but are syty specific, wonder if they will answer back

Re: tuning on ebay?

Well I got a quick response but they didnt answer anything I asked

I custom make each chip to fit your needs. So you get to pick out those parts of the calibration yourself. You just let me know what you want this chip to do for you, and I make them. I do all the Performance Tuning, but if you have anything specific that you want done, like temperature calibrations, or rpm limits, or speed limits, etc, you get to pick what you would like your engine to run at and I will make sure to fix it up for you. Thank you for your interest.

From the answers he has no clue what needs done. If you have to tell him what to change, why are you hiring him?

Re: tuning on ebay?

If you think I am a fake and am just trying to steal your money, then why don't you just look at my Feddback? None of my other chip buyers thought I was stealing their money when they picked up 40HP to the rear wheels. I tune chips for race cars. So the answer to your calling me a fake is this: If you don't want me to ask you questions about your vehicle, then don't ask me for a chip. Because I have to ask you questions about your performance parts, chip code, and your personal preferences because I have to take all that into consideration when tuning your new chip. Not all SyTy chips are the same. If you think I am lying, then everyone needs to post the four letter code on the back of their chips on here and we will see who's chip matches. That code is the calibration code that GM labelled your chip with. How can a chip for an automatic transmission and a manual transmission be the same? If you don't know anything about tuning, then how can you tell another person that I am trying to steal his money? If you want some basic cheap chip, then go visit Hypertech or Jet. You won't even remember that you installed their chips, because you cannot feel the power difference. If you want to run 12, 14, 16, or 18lbs. of boost---the next time I ask one of those dumb*ss questions that you hate to answer so much, I will remember that you're not really sure if you even want to order a chip, because if you did, you would be really picky about your calibration. Most of my customers run race cars and are really picky about Engine Temp., Spark Timing, Air/Fuel Ratio..blah blah blah....so I ask all my customers the same questions. If you want a good chip, I need to understand your intentions. Is it a daily driver, or strictly a race car? If you don't know how you want your vehicle to act after installing a new performance part, then you are barking up the wrong tree. Because I make your vehicle do what you want it to do on the street or the strip. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. Thank you for your time.

Re: tuning on ebay?

Ok, hang tight Jimmy. He showed up and answered in person so he may not be a scam. I mean the effort to show up and reply should buy him at least the benefit of the doubt right (man were a tough crowd aren't we, eh)? Beside I have a brother right there in Waco over on Lake Shore Dr. that can go check him out.

Ok, I have just picked up a 92' Ty for the wife. You say you need to ask some questions and I understand that. I need to ask some questions to, sooo...... here we go. BTW we have been scammed and burned so much around here that it seems to be the norm and Jimmy can be an ass anyway so never mind the hard luck cases hanging around in here . If we had enough brains to walk across the street, we’d all walk away from these rolling money pits called trucks !
My questions:

The truck has very minor bolt on's - cat back 3" ex. KB cold air, adj. FPR, high vol. pump etc.
Can you make a cal. that will bump the stock boost limt to around 13-14 psi safely?
Override the I.C. fan thermostat control and turn the pump and I.C. fan on together at a lower than than the stock 150 deg. Delete the EGR function. Set the boost control to the above mentioned higher than stock 13-14 psi but be able to delete the cat con and not have boost spikes or creep and not have check engine lights? Can you over ride the stock manual trans option fuel cut out (auto trans doesn't have it)? I buy my inspection stickers so I will ditch the cat but I had to have a custom chip done for my SY to have it idle right and not throw codes. Can you do this and in open loop would be nice?

Last question, I don't want take a chance on engine damage to this low mile Ty (hence the real mild only a couple of pounds increase in the boost over stock to like 13-14 psi.) how many Sy's or Ty's have you tuned? Any in the Texas area (or anywhere really) that you could let me talk to as a reference?

Your questions: Ask away, what ever you need to know?

But young jedi, you must understand your trying to market your skills to a group of people that have studied these trucks for years. You might be the best tuner around, but it is obvious you do not have a clue when it comes to syty's.

Let me know when the mystery manual syty chip shows up?

If you have customers that want something changed from a stock calibration great, I can go to moates.net pull the call, pull the defiinition files I helped CREATE off nwstp.com make the changes, burn the chip and away we go.

But I would rather go look at the source code for the syty bin, modify and fix some of the formulas GM half fixed to make it work on a syty, and really get the ecm right. While I am in there I will probably activate the spool up mode (find that in the stock chip).

Sorry but your responses, ebay ad, etc is so generic you look like a grade school kid walking into a conference of rocket scientist wondering which room the slide is in.
