i thought is was a good trade i got a 93 ty with bigger injectors,3in down pipe all the way back,shift kit,lowered,17in black wheels,turbo timer,i was wondering about a chip how much will that give me?im not new to s10's or blazers but the ty is a totally different thing when it comes to the motor

Do yourself a favor - spend a good 10 hours of reading about these trucks on the forums/web, and a few hours in the Syty chat room before you start doing any further modifications on that truck (or before even racing/beating on the truck in its current state). Syty's are fickle, and an uneducated owner will be in a world of hurt in no time.

If you don't have a dialed in truck, you can turn the motor into a boat anchor in no time. Arm yourself with the right knowledge & tools ASAP.

it might or might not have a shift kit.it snags gears really fast but that might just be a stock thing i dont know.o and for the vin numbers it was a stolen and recovered truck from ny so it has a different vin on it now. so i dont really know i wish i did

it needs to have 1GDCT18Z as the first 8 digits to be a true ty, just in case it's a clone or somethin.
look at the title it should say the vin, far as i know just becuase it was stolen doens't mean they give it a new vin number. i have 2 theft recovery cars right now and they still retain there original vin. thats the way it is here in OR atleast, might be different where your at though.\

do as stated above, read and learn as much as you can on this site before ya start wrenchin, could very well save you alot of hassle, and even some coinage. most everything has been asked or covered multiple times.
