Re: 1993 Green/Gray $7500!!

I came home, and had to leave asap. "Hometime" for me this trip was working 14 hrs a day working local. Er go, no new pics. Did comb the truck over and found a tiny rust spot in the seam near the roof on the back. Weird.

No ATV trades...have plenty.

And, seriously? Offering 7000 on a car you never seen?

Re: 1993 Green/Gray $7500!!

Sold- kinda/sorta.

LowLife should be picking this up next week. No deposit needed, he seems like an upfront guy who values his word as do I, plus has a little knowledge of turbo cars. For those interested that didn't get pics, I apologize. The handfull still interested, you know where you stand on the "dibbs" list. I work what is probably one of the most crazy work schedules of anyone here, plus the digi cam broke, and I have been home less than a handful of days since this ad went up, and "home time" often is working local 6am-8pm withoput the commute. I don't feel I over-hyped it at all, and I'm sure LowLife can post about it once he gets the keys. Not really the most ideal way of selling a truck, but it got done.

****Furthermore, this shouldn't set a standard for what these trucks go for. I could easily have gotten 9 grand or more for it with a little patience, but wanted to pass it on for the price I stole/got it for. I even kind of "screened" potential buyers on their intentions once they bought it and really emphasized not using it as a daily driver or heavily modding it, and not based on it's mechanical condition or known issues. I feel this is a very good example of a very well taken care of Typhoon and should be preserved for an enthusiast who wants a piece of history. By far, NOT a perfect truck, but pretty close compared to all I have seen.... borderline show quality. I even told the buyer of the 14K mile black one that my Green was a better value in terms of miles/condition v.s. his, but that is my opinion.

I guess it just kind of hit me that I had wayyy too many trucks and toys and am starting to downsize. Ironically, I pick up my new Sea Doo RXT-X ( laymens terms- 260hp supercharged 3 seater sport waverunner) in the a.m. Insurance, tag fees, maintenance, etc gets old pretty quick on these trucks, despite being an enthusiast of these trucks in all forms. I sold my OG Black Ty that Waller did a kick ass job of modding for really cheap to Dan a few weeks back for the same reason (free 1/2 way delivery!) Gonna stick to the Sy in Cali, the Gumby, and the Garnet and set a cap at 3 syty's. For a while, I felt Harmon was in my family tree :) Oh, and my involvement remains the same on the board and I'll still try to haul cars and stuff for you guys dirt cheap wherever I can get my truck or a close friends truck there for ya! :)

He made me an offer i couldn't refuse. Plus, who wouldn't sit without a ride home in a truck stop in the middle of WI after being dropped off there to buy a truck sight unseen that was lastly purchased in a walmart parking lot at 3am?!
Jeff is easily one of the most stand up guys here; he is definately a man of his word! If this truck is anything like he described mine, it was a steal.
PS jeff, did a tune up and about 50 hrs of work, all 4 roach on launch.

Thanks Jeff!

The Ty made the 10+ hour drive back home with no problem....averaged around 21mpg. Good meeting you! I will stay an active member of the forum!
