What do you do with the metal bracket that bolts to the rear of the stocker? Does it still fit? Or do you cut it off? If you cut it off, how many 10's of thousands of miles have you run it to assure harmonics don't fracture the remaining aluminum bracket?
I'd like to do this mod, but I'm concerned about bracket durability without the rear metal bracket. I've driven WhiteTy 21,000 miles in the past 9 months. That's probably more miles than all other SyTy's on here combined over the same period. Durability is important to me. A busted bracket can't be fixed on the side of the Interstate.
Any comments? Other than don't drive my Ty so much?
I used the 144 from a tohoe as well and one of those mounting points on the bracket is cut off of mine since im using an adjust turn buckle type do completely do away with the ac bracket so I can't speak for strength but mine's been fine on the truck for years the way it is
I run a powermaster 200 amp. No more volt gauge dance when the turn signals are on..
