Re: Any old timers out there?

Despite the fact that I was not on the mailing list until around 1996, SyTy life existed far before your June 1993 timeline. My 12.66 pass was made easily a year before your date. I taught Lawrence and Janice Conley the art of the 17# launch after helping them swap trannys between rounds at Moroso when their Regal wasn't even tubbed, and they were running (and blowing up on every pass) their 200-4R's through all 4 gears with a 4.30 ring & pinion ratio! (I also showed 'em how to yank the fragmented remains of a busted propshaft out in record time, while laying on my back in the parking lot without proper tools.) No commercially available custom chips...no problem...I used a rising rate of gain fuel pressure regulator with a tweaked 40# ATR PitBull that Phil burned for me over the phone...it went 12.06 @ 112.8 with a Garrett T04 and a homemade adapter to fit it to the stock manifold (and a cam that nobody thought could be made to work with the stock computer). If us first OGs had waited around for readily available internet service, it would have set us back several yearsNOJIMMY said:Uh, not actually. (Not that its relevant, but Merrill dates back a bit earlier):
I have email dating back from Jun 2, 1993 referencing the following members.
Merrill, Eric, James, Ken, Mike Peter, Todd and myself.
