Overall it went fairly easy. Used Kore3s brackets for the rear with thier rear hose kit. All nice stuff BTW, quick shipping and good service.

They finally got the rear brakets redone? Guess i better call and get a set for my plain old C5 rears. Looks awesome by the way!

I do have a complete rear brake setup from an ls1 camaro, rotors, calipers, mounts, cables, etc if your interested. I was going to put them on the sy but might just get baers to match the front.

Tony, if you can pm me or email pics to robbiet@rogers.com would be great. Also, what you are looking to get. Truthfully, I am not ready to get these but if the price is right I may be interested.

Re: C6 ZO6 brakes and wheel project

Did you have to turn down the rear axles to fit within the rotors?

19's in back, 18's in front... are those 30-series in the rear?? Must ride pretty hard :squint:
I wonder why not 18's all around... maybe just not available in that size/color/offset?? :dunno:

Sure like the looks of those brakes!
vent looks cool too

The axles fit without any machining required, was a nice suprise.

Just talked to the owner today, he wants to lower it another inch in the rear. It already has beltech leafs too.

Carmen wanted the 18/19 combo, personal preference I guess. The tires are 265/35r18s and 315/25r19s. The rear tires were a tight squeeze on the wheels.

I'd just put some setback plates on to drop it another 3/8" and get the wheels centered in the wheelwell.

Re: C6 ZO6 brakes and wheel project

so this can be done with the c5/c6 conversion brackets?

yep, but with a spacer. thats what i am doing. i bought Acehag's front and rear brackets and am having a spacer tig welded to it. not a big deal, and Way cheaper than buying some other companies brackets.

Re: C6 ZO6 brakes and wheel project

where is this spacer going. Is it to space the bracket farther out from the hub to clear the caliper from the rotor?
