He is just mad my truck is still faster at 7psi of boost vs his 13 and I am about 1k lbs heavier. So he had to do something.

So you bought another motor? Did your trans mess up again? What gives?

The build was being done in two steps. 1st step was put a mostly stock ls motor in to make sure of the engine placement, cooling placement, W2A, build the headers, Turbo placement, etc... Mostly just to make sure everything worked out and played nice together.

The second step was to have a fully built block w/heads done and then do a swap over the weekend at a later date. I just didn't realize it was going to be so soon. I didn't know my other half was going to let me spend another $8k so soon on the motor. :D So now that I can its already built and ready to go in. I am pulling the motor and trans tomorrow if it doesn't rain and going to make sure the trans is 100% along with the converter before shoving it all back in with the new block.

Need to get it all done here like SOON so I can still be ready to go to the Street truck shootout Aug 2nd. :)

Thats the plan...

Translation: He has recently installed 10 sinks in the house and can really lay some pipe, his other half bought him a motor for his services.

A little bird told me that there are some fitment issues between the OEM style blocks and the heavier LSX... hopefully, you won't have the same issues. (Had to do with mount placement, due to the thicker block.

I don't believe his new motor is a LSX block. I think he said it was a 5.3 iron block.

I hope there is no fitment issues. If there is...... he proably just go V12.:rotf:

The title of this should be changed. I missed this until today! Change it to LSX winter project or something.
