Itching to get a new daily driver...so the STi needs to go.

I bought the car new in March of 2004. It has about 84,230 miles on it. I had rear struts put on under warranty, since they had the very-common popping sound, but the popping has returned and they are out of warranty. They work flawlessly, just a lil noisy. Subaru just pissed me off when they wouldn't replace them a couple hundred miles out of warranty so i refused to replace them

It ran a 13.2@102.86 at full weight, just like all the magazines claim it can run. Raced at a track on 2 occassions. At SyTy Pittsburgh meet, and at a Kansas NATS.

I'd say the car is in good shape. 9/10 interior and at least 7/10 exterior. Subaru paint isn't the thickest and the PA salty winters have netted some small nicks on the front. Most recently are 3 chips in the hood scoop that could be covered up with some touch up paint. I have 2 sets of wheels, winter and stock. The winter wheels are gunmetal Rotas and are wrapped in some sort of all season tire - they could probably use some new tires on them. The stock wheels have some all season tires on them and will need replaced to pass inspection next year - they passed this June with no prob.

Overall its been a fun car. I'm just in the market for something different. SyTy buy it now price: $14,000obo with both sets of wheels. If no one here is interested i'll be putting it on ebay to go up to the hounds where it will hopefully sell for a couple bucks more than $14k.

My wife has a 04 WRX sport Wagon. She loves it, they are great cars. Subaru's seem to hold their value better then other brands. Ours has near 70k miles and never had any problems. Only thing I don't like is having to run prem. gas. Awesome in winter. Good luck with the sale, ohh yea is it bone stock?

STi's bring more than standard WRX's. Good luck Mike. Some day I'll have one. :(

I've never sold this car before so i don't know what people will be willing to pay for it. I do know that they were selling for $16-18k with 60-75k less than a year ago.

Place it for sale here, www.nasioc.com. Should go quick there.

Lift up the dust boot on the rear shocks and spray some type of silicone spray liberally. This will band-aid the "strut clunk", at least for a small time.

"bump for you.....from a felow SyTyer."

Yea, I ended up keeping my WRX, its in real nice condition and we love it. I need to sell my toy though. 2006 Cobalt SS supercharged. Anyways, more bumps for the STi.

Actually...I'm wanting a '09 328i xDrive. The 335 costs too much as soon as you add some options. I'd love a 996 but sorta impractical aside from the outlandish price tag.
