i'm attempting to go up the vehicular ladder, not down. I like the legacy's, even contemplated a new gt...but think i'm gonna stay away from suby for a while.

Damn, I would love to have another STi as a beater to go with my 05' but I'm looking @ Z06's.

This thing is a steal for someone. $14,000 is an F'in steal with 84K on it. My 05' has 120K on it and I was offered 16.5 on trade for an 03' Z06 but I turned it down with winter already here figured I'll just load the miles on the STi. There were a few guys on the STi board to traded their 04's in on 08 STi's and get 14.3 and 15K, with 140K on the clock.

These cars are very reliable with the regulay maintance and definetly hold their resale value. Mike, do you have the service records showing the 60K was done or any of the other service like the 30K. Subaru says you should have the timing belt done at 90K. I did mine at 60K.

I think the timing belt service is like $360 I had a bunch of stuff done @ 60K and it ran me $600
Best bet with the struts are buy a set of BC racing coilovers and call it a day. best bang for your buck they will run you about 1100...My stock struts went at 70K and I ran on them for 20K before replacing them.

I wouldn't really deal with nasioc, but mike post this up on IWSTI.com and CTsubie.com if the lowest you will go is 14K I would say post it up for 16-17K with taking serious offers and see what they offer you.

i had the 30k service done. Will do the 90k if i have it when it hits that mark. $14k is the dead lowest i will take. Thats a syty owner special. I posted it on nasoic for $15k. Subaru did all of the maintenance on this car until about 40k miles then i finally gave in and started doing the oil changes myself.

I am going to take it to other dealerships and see what they'll give me on a trade. Stupid BMW snobby dealership just doesn't buy cars or have anything used on their lot except for low mileage certified BMWs.

and yes i think its a steal also at $14k. $14k is the LOW wholesale value according to the BMW webtool thing they brought up. When they called me back they came nowhere near that $ amount though...thus i'm trying to sell it privately now. They claimed the mileage makes dealers not want to buy it...eh f em. I know it's worth more than $14k to many people out there...just gotta peak their interest.

Really not expecting anyone here to want it...just thought i'd post it up in case.

Not to thread jack, but what are you talking about the 04' STi was the first one shipped to the US. you can't get an 03' or before that bugeye. You can't get the RB22 and you cant get the prodrive p1 over here.

is it an xi? is it anything but red?

Yeah, Ryan has (had) a 335xi (not sure if it's the coupe or sedan). Those cars are sweet though. The way the used car market is now, you can pick one up in the low 30's.

Also, you may want to check out an '06 V10 M5 (unless you are only interested in awd). I was kicking tires over the weekend on a local one with 25k miles for $43k....that's half the price they were new in just 2 years.

Oh, yeah the 996 Carrera 4S is pretty sweet too. My friend just picked up a very nice one in the $30's.

Was that a CPO M5?

I wouldn't want to own one of those if it was not. Parts are pretty expensive for them.

yea i'm only interested in awd. even though you only need it like 60 days out of the year...i just can't risk being immobile at all. $43k is a bit more than i'm willing to spend for a used car - especially if thats half the price it was 2yrs ago.
