FS: stainless steel motor mounts (frame pads)

EDIT: a long time ago i made a ton of stainless steel motor mounts (the portion that bolts to the frame of the truck) that use a moroso steel motor mount to solidly locate the syty engine. everyone knows they break stock mounts constantly..... and there were already frame pads available from 2 different vendors but every time i saw any of them on a truck they were always rusted really bad because all the paint gets scraped off when you install them, or when you install the engine....... so i thought a good solution was to make them from stainless. i had a ton of them water jetted and ready to weld together from 1/8" stainless, when we kinda fell out of the syty market. fast forward to now..... i have sold turbotime to the subaru focused partner, i have sold both my typhoon and my syclone, and all associated parts i had kicking around the shop. this is really the last of the syty things i have in my garage, so get em while they last i won't make more after these are gone.

i have 15 sets welded and ready to ship. paypal pumapumapumas@gmail.com $55 and ill ship a set to anywhere in the US via flat rate USPS. (if you are paying via credit card or debit card make sure you cover the fees)

Re: FS: stainless steel motor mounts (frame pads)

Are these welded and ready to mount? Will they position the motor the same as stock mounts, most of the others I have seen are higher when installed.

thanks,

If they are already welded I'll go in for one set.

they are not welded right this second, but yes i will weld them for you before i ship them. welding is included in the price. they use a moroso solid steel small block motor mount...... its possible that you could use a stock rubber small block mount with it but i have never tried. as far as height i was under the impression that the height stays the same, but they would be similar to the JSM mounts from many years ago.

When I assembled a set of the JSM pads with Moroso mounts and compared it to a new set of stock syty mounts, the JSM mounts were noticeably higher.

I would be interested in a pair also, but if the mounts raise the engine, I have to pass. My intercooler is already hitting the inside of my hood.

What I meant to say is the JSM/Moroso mounts were actually lower than the stockers..... by about .150" or so. The crossover pipe on my RPM headers rubbed the frame slightly with the steel mounts. I had to make spacers to go under the JSM pads to bring it back to stock height.

Lower would probably be better for me then.

these are the LS1 version in this picture, but the ones I'm selling are made the same..... just slightly different risers. They are CNC'd from 1/8" stainless steel sheet and then welded together. Ill try and get a bunch of them welded together this week and ill post another picture then. I will be more than happy to give a measurement from the base to the center of the bolt hole, but i have no clue how what the stock dimension is on the stock pads/mounts.
