Alright guys, got a buddy over on the s10forum starting to make these. There traction bars. He started making them for the Colorado guys and they worked so well he came to the s10 site and made a few test peices which have been tested and they work great. I wanted them for mainly my squatting so hard my tire rubs problem and this definitely solved it. These bars are full adjustable, great clearance, and can't beat the price.

These first kits are going to be 200$ bucks + shipping. But that price includes powdercoating. Looking to start with 5 kits first before production starts and deposit of 50$. His PayPal is Watson.branden@yahoo.com make sure to note in there your username and that your from the syty site. He then will email you the remaining balance and shipping cost. I will post on this thread as to the spots that have filled. Also for you guys who would like more info, this is the original thread it all started on, lots of pics and discussion here that should answer your questions http://www.s10forum.com/forum/f307/home-made-traction-bars-553650/

Do not send anymore deposits until noted, all 5 spots have been accounted for, if your interested please still post up but again do not send deposit yet

1. Sean Krupa waiting on deposit
2. Gobabygo deposit sent
3. Gobabygo deposit sent
4. Lt1sy deposit sent
5. Ziembic deposit sent

Re: GP: traction bars

Your guys kits will look slightly different since mine is now powdercoated

The tabs will be longer to help prevent the small bend you see when tightening up the u-bolt plate. My advice for you guys, leave the original bolt there on the ubolt to shock mount, then when you add the traction bar plate, use 4 more nuts each side to mount that down. That way it will stock the bending of the bracket, that's what I plan to do here soon.

Re: GP: traction bars

Does he work for speedway motors? Are they selling the kits as well?

Good design overall, simple and effective.

Re: GP: traction bars

Ok he said you can send deposit now and there 3 weeks out max. Have to rememember they have to get cut, welded up, powder coated and shipped. This first batch will be a lot cheaper then the next set out so if you want to save some money order now, if there is enough interest, we might bump this up to 10 orders

No he doesn't, he's just a normal kid working out of the garage.. Likes making stuff and helping people out. The bars and heim joints are from speedway which is where the sticky came from

Re: GP: traction bars

Here Is a video of them on my Ty, I get very little squat now and the ride is a lot better in my opinion over bumps. I do have belltech leafs though and blocks. I do still need to adjust then a little looser when the roads warm up since even though I did not squat so much, I did spin but that could also be because of shitty roads

Re: GP: traction bars

Ok thanks guys! Sorry about some of the communication.. I'm just trying to be the middle man lol

Re: GP: traction bars

quick question Im guessing these are sent out in powdercoated black?

also is there a difference between sets for SY or TY ? I need another set for my SY but will wait for these to come in to see how they comeout, then more then likely purchase a second set if they are to my liking.

Yes they will be powdercoated black.

There shouldn't be a difference between the two considering these were universal fit for the way he made them.
