I'd like to make it next year. I think it would be cool to have some sort of event seperated by 5-6 months. Seeing everybody once a year is great, but would be so much cooler twice a year. :)

...Some "Wild" Suggestions (acknowledging that you already have an excellent event):

1. Portable onsite Dyno, and/or Portable Lift at show for tuning/use
2. Detailing, and/or Pinstriping at show (for parts, helmets, trucks, tattoos, t-shirts..)
3. GM Proving Ground Access (or Speedway with Lap Acess, or Autocrossing via cones).
4. Live video of event (played on screen behind music band)
5. Chile cook-off, or eating contest between willing members or pit crew/ tire changing contest
6. Parade Caravan
7. "Baddest" of the Bad Trophy (voted on by members by ballots) to be awarded
and perhaps "recycled" each year with engraved owners name
8. AWD burnout contest and/or 60 foot "Challenge" member contest with Xmas tree
9. Video Game Booth with large screen tv
10. More Vendors (stereo shops, upholstry, detailing, automotive tools, racing gear, etc) and more Guest speakers/corporate sponsorship
11. Magazine, TV, and Internet coverage (with Phone-In ability for off-site syty members)
12. Greater Advertisement (Magazines, Banners, Signs)
13. More souvenirs (dash plaques, syty products, windshield banners/logos, magnets, handouts,
fan guide booklets, who-who booklet, syty calendars, mugs, clocks/watches/posters, garage stuff)
14. Walkie Talkie Communication, Loudspeaker/microphone usage, Podem/Stage...

While I dont actually "know" how to do any of this.....you did ask <grin>.

my truck being there!

this year was great, maybe if its possible a stage for the speakers? As far as track day since not too many people used it we could also invite friends/other turbo v6 (GNs, TTA, etc) to use the track.

Re: Homecoming 2008 bigger and better comments? suggestions?

Generally it was fun and I actually like a less structured event as it gives more time for people to meet/interact with each other. My only comments would be:

1. Better hotel/staging lot - I left my Sy on the trailer a lot of the weekend because I didn't feel safe leaving it sit outside the hotel room. The lady (I use that term loosely) who wedged her Ranger between two of our trucks then stumbled out kind of showed where we were at there.
2. Better road to the track - That road was really messed up. If I wouldn't have had my truck on the trailer the ladder bars would definitely have been digging into he road. Not a big deal but the track shouldn't have double charged us. I also wish they would have provided SOME track prep for our reserve fee. The track was way too slippery for even stock trucks to get traction off the line. "Protosy" was skating all over the place and I slid sideways on my second run to the point I had to let out of it.
3. Better ID of the PAS employees - By the time I figured out who they were it was late in the day.
4. Reserve a spot at a restaurant for Saturday night, that 50/60's place everyone went to was mentioned and it was a lot of fun.
5. The band was a nice idea and I initially liked them, but they were loud to the point I couldn't talk to people without yelling. If you are going to have them again maybe have them provide more "background" music?

Most of this has already been mentioned. It was a good time and I am very thankful for the organizers taking time out of their busy schedules to provide a very well managed event for everyone. I look forward to attending in the future schedule permitting.
