METH HEAD
So today I went to court for my drag racing ticket. These tickets are 12 points in CO. I went in and got my plea bargain. It was actually a damn good deal all things considered. They offered me 5 points speed exhibition, $150 fine and traffic school. Not a bad deal at all. However, I sat there and thought about it and thought you know, I wasn't "really" racing. What happened was that these two guys were at my rear and they started racing. I got on it just til I panned out with them then let off. When the cop came out form behind some bushes, the Stang and Saturn actually gunned it and I got pulled over  He siad he heard me from 6 blocks away. Only problem is, where the light is I was sitting at was only 1/2 a block away. I never went over 55mph. I took off normal at the light. So anyway, I decide to go in and talk to the city attorney. I told her what happened except I told her I had just turned on to the road where I got the ticket and the other guys were already on it and racing and they passed me like I was standing still. I told her about how the officer was parked behind some bushes that weren't easy to see through. Luckily, she banks there and new what I was talking about. The officer said I was in the right lane and the Mustang was in the left, I was actually in the middle and he was in the right, Saturn in the left  this guy..... So I tell her you know the guy just was not paying close attention to the details. Then to top it all off, I gave him my insurance card and reg. where it clearly says GMC TYPHOON and he STILL managed to write that I was driving a Chevy Blazer :rotf: So she re-read the notes he wrote and she actually agreed with me. I told her the only thing I did was that I was going 55ish in a 45. She looks dead at me and says "if this paper work came to my desk as a four point speeding I would give you a plea offer of a 2 point unsafe vehicle and the fine would have been very similar and that is what I am going to go ahead and do  I almost jumped out of my chair and did a back flip. She told me she doubted the officers story if put on the stand and that any crappy lawyer could get me out of it. So I walk away with 2 points, $150 fine  In a way, the TY saved the day, proving once more that ignorance is all around us
