oil preasure

ok so i did a search on oil preasure guages.. i only foudn one thing and i didn't really understand what they ment by hooking it up to the filter.. i did notice that there is a allen wrench screw in it though.. i have a new oilpreasure sinding unit that goes right in the stock spot and needs wires.. to connect to the back of my new guage.. this guage came with my truck.. i think, i have to find a way to get in the back of my engine by the stock posistion and hook up my new oil preasure sending unit.?..

or is there anyone on here that cana think of a different way to get at it?.. other then taking out my engine.?

Most people hook up the sending unit for there aftermarket oil pressure gauge to the port on the filter that you mentioned.
