My dad got the first coat of mud+tape on the drywall:

He also put his truck on the lift to do an oil change. It had no problem lifting the full size truck...

Here is the company website I went with to buy new rubber pads for the lifting arms. $31.00 for all 4 shipped. http://www.sviinternational.com/products/challenger/ Click on their catalog. They have every part you will ever need to maintain your lift.

Whats the purpose of the pads? Just not to scuff up the frame or do they add grip and therefore make things a bit safer?

I think we have 3 of the 4 pads...

I feel it helps with grip. Just added safety. I only had one on my lift so i bought the kit. They are $9 each if you just need one. Very nice company.

The drywall work is finally done and the primer is on the walls.

The replacement foam rings also arrived for the speakers and I fixed those..

This week my dad hopes to get the place painted, get the molding stained and put up, and build some work benches. Other than clean-up and organizing it may be finished this coming week..

My dad is doing most of the work. We had a contractor pour & finish the concrete and I've helped maybe 6 or 7 days. Other than that its all him. He is an animal but he runs himself into the ground. He is in his mid 50s and works like he is 25. Trying to keep up is a challenge.

There are still some loose ends but another week or two and it should be 100% done..

well i was there last night to move all my crap around / out of the way so that the rest of it can get painted. The pictures don't do this place justice at all.....and whats funny now is that the shop looks too clean to work in.

All i know is that i can't wait to take get the ls ty there to work on it. I also can't wait to get rid of the 93 Typhoon that i have for sale right now. Not that there is a lack of space in the shop, but it's seemingly just taking up space right now.

The last corner.. Just needs some cleaning, drywall work, and paint. We will probably leave the sandblast cabinet in the corner and build a bench next to it. Other than that the plan is to leave this area open..

But if you are going to use a vacuum with the blast cabinet its 100x nicer to have it there and leave the vacuum in the compressor room so you don't have to listen to it...

true...or you could just install that shop vacuum system with drops around the area like you know you want anyway.. ;)
