Re: side exit exhaust?

That''s low. you can always put it near the cladding and put some heat restrictive material onto your cladding. i don't think it's a big deal

My old TY #1354 had that. I had 3" chrome in front of the rear tires. It looked and sounded nice not gaudy. The big problem I had was clearance. The truck was lowered and I would scrape them on speed bumps and curbs.

i have a turndown right after the T-case.

i'm gonna run side exit this year, but the challenge isnt really the cladding, as much as its the leaf spring shackle.

it'd be easy to run outside the frame rails, but that would mean no inner fenderwells.

:) I bought the Syclone in that condition, never heard it run.. At the time I was parting it out, Ken and I discussed the side exhaust.

sure did who ended up with that cladding piece?

That was the drama, where the guy who I shipped it to decided not pay me. (He added to his order last minute) Out of the blue, he paid me 2 or 3 years later. He said his mother threw the cladding away when they were cleaning the garage after he sold his Syclone.

I can't find the pictures of the Ty, If I recall correctly steve-o posted them when the owner stop by for a visit after getting a RPM short block. It seem to me that the owner use rectangle tubing or a early model Z-28 exhaust outlet just in front of the back tires. I think the Ty was white on white.
Gary posted those pics. It was a wht/grey TY that actually sounded pretty nice.

That was the Ty in Cali.
I have that exhaust now, its just sitting on the bench waiting to go on.

I am concerned about clearance when i load on and off the trailer so its gonna have to be detachable.
Kind of enjoying the 3" open DP for now though. ;)

Thats my buddy matts syclone . I can get more pics if anyone wants them , its a clean install and the outer ring doesnt get hot enough to mess with the cladding . Other than the hole in the bed , I really like it .
