Storing leather seats

Since I bought a set of Fatman seats for my Ty last year, I have still have my '92 seats sitting around the garage.
I noticed that they have become dry & stiff. I don't want them to rot out, so I'd like some recommendations on how to store them so they won't dry out or mildew.

Thanks

Re: Storing leather seats

Condition them with Meguiar's Gold Class leather cond then cover them in plastic bags so the air and dust doesn't get to them.

Dust will wick the moisture out of them if its allowed to sit on the surface.

My 92 seats are in the basement and I still clean once a year or so with leather conditioner.
The damn cats like them so I had to cover them to keep the hair off.

Damn, I wish I had a basement. I'll have to store them in the rafters of the garage, which can get pretty hot in the summer time.
I guess I'll have to reapply the conditioner more often to make sure they don't dry out.

Re: Storing leather seats

That Meguiar's Gold Class leather cond works great. I've used it on my 92 seats before. I need to do this to my rear seat since its sitting in my attic.
