unscrew your oilfilter, and throw it empty in a bucket, and see if there is something wrong wit it...

I just read the whole post and it sounds as if the thin oil has scrapped the bearings in the motor (cant tell for sure without hearing it in person though). Ouch..

Getting back to your original problem. IMO the low O2 readings youre seeing right before the stumble seems to be more of a result of another problem rather than the cause. IMO the A/F mixture going super lean would cause the O2s to drop to basically nothing then you get the stumlbe. A few miliseconds later the ECM corrects for the lean condition and O2s come back up as well as idle quality.

If you get the engine noise sorted out Id look REAL close at the fuel pump, filter, and regulator as being a possible source due to contamination or wear. Next would be the electrical system feeding the pump as well as the injectors. Itd prolly be a huge help to hook up a fuel pressure gauge to the service port on the fuel rail to monitor fuel pressure while the truck is idling to look for pressure fluctuations right before the truck stumbles.

HTH and good luck on the bearing deal.

well, the 20/50 has quited down the noise but it is still audible...think ill run it to the next pm and re-evaluate...but im on barrowed time...
my buddy thinks im on crack...he dont hear nuthin',but thats after 3 flushes and 2 steps up in oil grade...i noticed its running hotter with the thicker oil in it too...
i put a can of that Techron fuel injector cleaner and the stumble isent as bad/frequent now...clogged injector from crap gas?...
FIIK.

update:
as it turns out,i went back over every thing i did the day i changed the oil and setting the timing was one of the things...well,as it turns out-i wasent setting the timing right...and i had it advanced quite a bit...
i HAD a pos computer and when i try'd to get on any of the syty sights to look at maint.stuff i got booted out of the net.but now i have a new one and got an eye ball on the procedure to set the timing and did it right.now with the timing set up correctly the scary noise in the motor is nearly gone....weird huh?
soo i either fixed the noise....or the motors about to explode!! but its quite and strong at this point...soo it back to the stumble...
fuel pump & filter going in this weekend!!
