wouldn't pass inspection in NJ, have to suspect the same in a lot of other states too.

so pull out a fuel injected engine and drop in something with a carb, talk about going backwards. Why not a 5.7 tuned port at least.

That rust scares me, my guess is that you're going to be spending time on fenders and front cab mounts in addition to the tailgate and bed. I don't know if I would even pay $3K for it.
