Wastegate actuator mounting for PTE60 Dual Ball Bearing: PICS ADDED

So went to put my new turbo and downpipe on last night and ran into one problem. The bracket I was given along with the wastegate actuator for my PTE60 Dual Ball Bearing doesn't line up, doesn't work, no matter how you look at it. The holes are in the wrong places and it just won't bolt up. Anyone else run into the same problem? BTW, my turbo is clocked for the RPM A2A. Looks like if I can't get my hands on the right bracket, I'll have to be fabbing my own.

I was thinking you could redrill that bracket Steven. Just add 2 holes and it would work. what that your dad?? He had it lined up good but the holes were off 1/2 inch

Yeah, I think that very well may be a possibility. I'll look it all over again and see if that'll be doable. Yup, that was my Dad. Thanks.

pte just welds on a 3 bolt compressor cover clamp to a standard t04b actator, so you just need to have one clocked to the proper position and re-weld it.

those pictures are hard to really tell what was done there. i'm hoping that i won't run into the same problem as my turbo will be clocked in a different direction as my fmic piping will be routed differently.

It is hard to tell. Yes, let's hope.

Yeup, those are custom fabbed ones. You and I will likely have to make stuff like that to make ours work... ugh.

so much for the straight bolt-on affair:bored:

yeah, so much for that. i had to make a bracket for my last turbo, not again! sheesh. how will your turbo be clocked? i don't know if our brackets will have to differ, and if so, how much...

i will be clocking it in the same position as yours.

Re: Wastegate actuator mounting for PTE60 Dual Ball Bearing

So I finally found some time last night to work on the bracket for this thing. We thought about making something completely of our own, but finally decided on this. We used the incorrect PTE bracket as a spacer/support, and cut parts of it off. We tapped into it so we can thread a bolt into it to attach the out of place holes of the actuator bracket to our turbo. A couple misc. bolts and washers and there you have it. Oh, and a lot of cutting, bending, and tweaking of the wg actuator bracket. We basically had to straighten it out, and then give it one little bend. It turned out really nice. The arm and rod will be able to go back and forth quite easily in a straight line. The sad part is, Branden and I will probably have to replicate what we did with mine. I'll trace out tempelates of what we did and hopefully we'll be able to use those as well as the pictures to help us do it for his truck. It was pretty much a PITA. But hey, why wouldn't I except stuff I spent over 2k on to just all bolt together and work right out of the box. LMK what you guys think.

This this has a lot of straightening out done to it, and a hole drilled.

I'll now put the turbo in the truck and just wait on that new upper downpipe piece to come in so I can finish it off.

i think that was what i needed to do but i just bent my rod a little and it worked so far

sweet, your gonna do mine too.

Yeah, I figured that. It's not going to be super easy to copy, but I've got the basic idea down.
