Re: Wastegate actuator mounting for PTE60 Dual Ball Bearing
So I finally found some time last night to work on the bracket for this thing. We thought about making something completely of our own, but finally decided on this. We used the incorrect PTE bracket as a spacer/support, and cut parts of it off. We tapped into it so we can thread a bolt into it to attach the out of place holes of the actuator bracket to our turbo. A couple misc. bolts and washers and there you have it. Oh, and a lot of cutting, bending, and tweaking of the wg actuator bracket. We basically had to straighten it out, and then give it one little bend. It turned out really nice. The arm and rod will be able to go back and forth quite easily in a straight line. The sad part is, Branden and I will probably have to replicate what we did with mine. I'll trace out tempelates of what we did and hopefully we'll be able to use those as well as the pictures to help us do it for his truck. It was pretty much a PITA. But hey, why wouldn't I except stuff I spent over 2k on to just all bolt together and work right out of the box. LMK what you guys think.
This this has a lot of straightening out done to it, and a hole drilled.
Hole on the right is threaded
I'll now put the turbo in the truck and just wait on that new upper downpipe piece to come in so I can finish it off.
