What Is This Wire For?

I'm wondering if this could be part of my intermittent code 34 issue.

It was tucked up near the computer, but I didn't unplug it when I removed the ECU. the wire in question is the white one that goes through this pic. The two connectors are for the DRAC.

Here's a pic of the end with the plug.

That wire is disconnected on my Ty as well.

I think that it maybe the dimmer wire for the factory radio, but I'm not possitive. I didn't test it with the lights on to see.

I don't think it would reach the radio, but I'll check that out. Thank you!

Looks like the wire for the interior lights, plugs in on the right side of the dash to another wire that will go to your door jam switch. The interior light wires are white, that's what it looks like in the picture.

If it is the wire I am thinking it is, it is used on TBI motors. It is useless on our trucks.....

I can't remember the color, but could that be the wire that is usually in the engine bay that's for trouble shooting the fuel pump?

This is it! Thank you for the link, and input from everyone! Here is the relevant info from the thread...

Per Mr. DaveP:

"That wire is the Mystery Wire. It is only found in a 93. It is part of the cruise
control harness. Beginning in 93 there is an input from the cruise to the ecm to modify
TCC and shift schedules of the 4L60e to enhance throttle control when cruise is engaged.
Because the Typhoon does not use the 60e transmission, or the harness that has the
mating connector, the wire is just left hangine (disconnected) in the Typhoon. Leave it
disconnected. That's the way it's been for 20 years".
