LH side of the block 4 inches above the oil filter theres a little pad you almost need to remove fender well to see it, or you could just ask the state the assigned VIN can be traced back to the old VIN

Trans doesnt have VIN it has numbers that can be crossed if you have build records, and didnt you get the same answer in a email a few days ago?

On my '95 Jimmy it's the back; driver's side just below cylinder head to engine block interface

My transmission has the same numbers my engine block has stamped on it. In my case it's M8802661

The 92 Ty Transmission I had also match the trucks VIN. I wonder if you had more of odd ball than the norm.

Last 8 are on block and trans and frame full vin is door dash and glove box but there's one more spot

thanks alot guys for the help and pics.but yea the one in the window and glovebox were removed because they put a new vin on the door from the mva in new york.as soon as i find out the number i was thinking of sellin the truck i kinda just fell into this truck iv always wanted one and a buddy from middle school hit me up and i traded my bagged 92 s10 for this he said he never even tagged it. it just sat in the tow yard
