Re: 2008 Zo6 Brakes

That is still one of the things I would love to upgrade on my truck. I guess the question is, how much do you increase your stopping power by upgrading the front brakes? Is there any kits out there for a Syclone that still allows you to use 16 inch wheel and tires? I could of sworn there was a nice kit that a vendor has or someone does on the forum.

CBR kit with LS1 front calipers & rotors will allow you to run 16" wheels.

The wheels don't seem to stick out or sit in at all with that 40 offset, I was under the impression that it would've made a huge difference. lol

i have these same brakes. with the acehagg brackets i needed a spacer from the bracket to caliper.easy fix. I spent about 1g on the whole setup. i bought the complete brake kit used on ebay. very sexy look with black c6 zo6 wheels all in 18". still need to get it driving though.

Re: 2008 Zo6 Brakes

When they shorted the rear end they cut the rear end axel tube and welded it crooked, witch makes my rear end toe in about 1/4 inch on the right side. The truck does not pull to the side or anything but it is crooked. I have to take it back to the shop that shorted it. So there maybe other issues that are holding me back.
Are you serious? How did you even get the rear-end back together? Seems like the axle wouldn't slide back in but I guess I wouldn't really know.

After I did my C5 swap in the front I didn't notice any difference in rotating mass but maybe it has to do more with AWD vs the 2wd I have. Plus I went from 10" rotors to 13.1"

It's really wierd, everything seamed fine. I took it to the alinement shop and they said that every thing was good except that the rearend was off 1/4 inch. So went to the shop that did the rearend and they said it's ok and it's not going to hurt anything. they explained that everything is done on a jig, and could not be wrong. They also said they would not warrenty it because it was done over two year ago. The rear end sat in my buddies garage during that time. So I think I will take it to another shop and have it fixed.

Re: 2008 Zo6 Brakes

That is super sick! Want to swap out my Baer 13" track kit for those C6 Z06 fronts, but don't know who sells a complete kit with rotors, pads, brackets, bolts, lines, etc. I guess it's only a matter of time before this becomes a common upgrade. I can fade the Baers easily and would never drive another Sy/Ty with stock front brakes...that's suicidal.
