My Ty on Google Earth

At least, as far as my brother and I can tell anyway. I wish you could date Google Earth photos. Then I could be 100% sure, but right now I'd say 90% sure it's my truck. :tup:

Too bad this is about as clear as I could get it. Zooming in any more and it turns into a blob. Anyone else try to find their truck on Google Earth?

You have to actually download the Google Earth program from Google. Then you can just start looking for stuff by address, etc. :tup: From what I found, the images are anywhere from 3–5 years old but are continually being updated... So where were you parked 3 years ago? :lol:

Yup. It's when I worked at Columbine Country Club. It used to be one of the higher class neighborhoods in south Denver in the late 50's to 60's. Now they are tearing down the old tiny houses and covering the entire lots with new ginormous houses. It's sad really.

That one isn't bad for some things. But when it comes to my current home address, it's about 3 years behind Google Earth... and the pic is black & white. :lol:

I guess it just depends on what you're looking for, for which one is better... Though the 3D on Live is way better than Google Earth, for major cities of course. :tup:

Looks like I'll have to look somewhere else on Live for my Ty.. the pic is newer than Google Earth.

Some of the pictures may be the same, due to there only being so many imaging satellites... but it's not "the same." Live is Microsoft's all-in-one attempt to upstage Google Earth and Google Maps.

When I search for my house using all three, Live, Maps, and Earth, the live map is a really really old black and white sat photo, and the Earth/Maps image is the same, in color, and recent within the last 3 years. :tup:

Yeah, when I lookup my house on live, the picture clarity and resolution is ALOT better than google earth. I guess they don't have all the regions covered yet with the new images.

I haven't owned my Ty long enough to find it in a satellite shot, plus it has spent most of that time in one garage or another. I did find my old '91 S10 parked outside my college dorm. They haven't updated the picture yet, and that means that the picture was taken between September 2001 and May 2002.

The white truck and black bedliner made it a little easy to spot once I placed the year due to the state of various construction projects nearby on campus.

My truck has always been garaged in one form or another, so it's tough to find on there. Unless they re-imaged my house last week
