I have family about 45 minutes north of Valdosta and can ask them what is nearby if you guys want to know. I have been there once years ago but can't remember much. I think its a decent size city if I remember correctly. What kind of things are you wanting to know about the area and I will try to get answers if I can. I believe I was told there is some kind of theme park or place where they have concerts near by but thats all I remember though.

Valdosta: Wild Adventures.....theme park with concerts year round. Neat place, been there several times.

Hmm, looking good. Given my truck is running by then, I would definatley race it there.

I guess some questions to ask:

Night activity - car shows, streetracing?
Any big events that go on at the track to stop us from racing?
Shopping - malls, etc for the gfs and wifes?

I will try to find out as much as I can. My younger cousins may know about the night life and street racing maybe although he is more into mudding and bogging he may know or know someone who does. My aunt will probably know about the malls and stuff. I will ask tomorrow sometime.

Savanahh? I can see us all piling into Paula Deans homestyle joint for dinner.
I spent the night in Savannah and didn't see much other than ghost tours.
They do like to drink down there, just buy up early because they stop selling at midnight sat night.

Hell i did not even think about valdosta.

One of my good friends grilfreind goes to school down there so i can find out about the night life and also find out from him about street racing and stuff like that.

The track seems to be really nice and also the circle track might be a new mini bike track.

Even if we couldnt get on the circle track to mini bike....that parking lot looks hella fun to set up some stolen cones and do some mini bike competitive racing.

Yeah, I took 'em for Mike.....no sense in him getting chewed out, so I got back at 'em. I'm slowly accumulating a collection, but grab some from around the neighboorhood if you see any.

I was looking for a 1/4 mile track because there might be a couple of people that I would like to bring who would need all 1/4 mile and the large shut down area. Kind of a test if you know what I am talking about. This looks like a good place and I am sure there is plenty of night life due to the College being there. Trouble?????

hum. looks like valdosta might be in the running. I need to check milage there. I have to agree I'd liek to use a 1/4 track if possible.

Okay.....so I'm gonna go ahead and drop Savannah from the selection. Let's just decide between Orlando and Valdosta. Both have 1/4 mile tracks, both have local attractions, and both are similar driving distances.

So, list some pros/cons of each location and we'll decide where to have the meet.

It looks like Valdosta would be the best place in my opinion. The milage is about the same for everyone and is closer than any other track for the Florida guys. :tup:

Orlando-Val 215mi
Birm Al- Val 314 Mi
Char NC- Val 435 Mi
Knoxville Tn- Val 442 Mi
Atlanta - Val 228 Mi

The milage says it all. This is in the middle for the whole southeast. I also think that the accomidations in Valdosta would be less expensive then they would be in Orlando :2cents: . This might allow more people to attend for expense reasons. It also migh be less of a crowd for those who want to race who knows?

Agreed.....Valdosta has all the important stuff (track, hotels, food, and attractions) in addition to a reduced traffic load, easy access to the interstate, and is quite central. The only downsides I see is that it may be too desolete for some (no street scene) and it's not a frequent car cruise scene (whereas Orlando is). Those minor cons aside, Valdosta seems to be a frontrunner IMO.

BTW, the poll will be changed soon and I'd ask that once it is (Orlando vs Valdosta), PLEASE VOTE AGAIN. I'd love to get an accurate count for each location.
