I heard the $25k markup was a stupid tax. Those stupid enough to NEED it today, get charged.

Like Norm said wait a few months.

Either way I can plan to suck the paint off the side of it for you.

After 20 years with the Army, 6:00 AM would equate to sleeping in for me (haha).

Oh, I see. Designing it to be advantageous to you, eh. Well, you might wanna race me for 30 feet then.......and I don't do ricer flyby's but you'll think I started to when I roar by at about the 35 foot mark and you get sucked into my backdraft IF you get a perfect launch. Would you like the 4 ways on as well? You know, I am pretty easy to get along with.
:rotf: :haha:

Puhleez. The fastest my truck has ever been was because of your potential ricer flyby.

The "pig" race I stayed WOT for a 1/2 mile, speedo bouncing off the 120 peg, because I KNEW that as soon as I let off you would come flying by me in that SRT-10.

I made you shut down at 135 cause I was still pulling. You KNOW for a fact if I would have skidded to a stop sideways that you woulda flown by me and "won".

No disrespect for the Z06,but with my little old 400 HP 4K pound V6 Blazer, I think the track is the only place I should run you.

Ya know, let me be honest. I waited until YOU were at full boost and until you beeped YOUR spout 3 times and let you leave first. It should have been blatantly obvious to you on a 40 degree day that I wasn't seriously gonna try to walk the dog on your Typhoon in those conditions. I stayed back on purpose because (1) you had my son in your truck and I didn't want you crashing trying to reel me in and (2) because I wanted to see how long you would talk smack about it. I can see now what I will have to endure for the next 50 years :).

Don't start whining about your lil old 400 HP 4,000 blazer. You sparked this debate in public....we will run them in public. Trust me, you'll regret running it at the track when I keep you spooling while I play around between partial and full stage, listening to your turbo overheating and FWIW, I don't run on 1/8 mile tracks....sissy's do. We'll continue this at Bowling Green so your fan club can be on ground to console you after the run

I would go with Jimmy hands down, (assuming his truck is on high octane and set to kill). Can't see a RWD street-tired car doing much of anything on the street compared to an AWD torquemonster on 16" Rims.

:popcorn2:

I got $50 on Jimmy with video.
:p
Why?
Principle really.

I have no truck, gotta back the trux in the race.
If you guys both brought your trucks, well... I'd just watch.

Can you guys race in China?
That'd be alot more convenient for me.

My buddy Ron just bought a new Vette.
He practically makes love to it.
160+ through CastleRock! Nutz...

Glad you guys are keeping this light and funny between friends.
Keeps me entertained!

Re: Jimmy vs T-Bone Z06

Well, the Lemans Blue one I went to look at has two small cosmetic issues with it that are still unresolved. I did locate a fully loaded, 1 owner MINT 2007 black on black in Indianpolis with 4,000 miles and just got off the phone with the seller. The chrome wheels look like you can eat off the insides.....just what I was looking for. We are at $100 difference and the guy won't budge. He won't even give me a full tank of fuel either. It's 11:43 and I am tired so I called it quits. I'll bug him in the morning but I think we will compromise and I will be picking the car up Wednesday

If more people will kindly put money on Jimmy and paypal the funds to a neutral party (or one of the mods), we can run and I can look at it like getting a refund on my purchase, thanks to the SyTy community :). I doubt the track will make a difference either. A stock 2006 is on youtube running a 11.07 in the 1/4 on street tires !! Jimmy is quick but he isn't that quick...especially at Bowling Green. I know the economy is not looking good but you guys can find some money to throw out there on Jimmy if he decides to run. After a complimentary ride, he might never go up against me :dunno:

What's the fastest timeslip for any car you've ever owned and personally raced on that particular timeslip, T-Bone?

What are you talking about?
The Chinese RMB is strong right now against the US dollar.

Keep the armchair/youtube timeslips coming!

Hmmm, probably a 18.48 in a 1970 Nova (250 straight 6 with a 2 speed powerglide) so the advantage will definately swing to Jimmy. How much money would you like to put on the line given that statistic.

As a disclaimer: I am getting old and sometimes get my times / cars confused.

Hey Tooky, I think my Porsche 911 Turbo (which I was driving when Jimmy and I first met) was a little faster but I can't remember for sure and I am trying to recall the 1/4 mile time with my built 1970 Chevelle SS 454 LS5 show-car but it was definately quicker than the Nova....I even think it was faster than the 911 Turbo. Now you have me thinking :).

This is great. I love it when you two get after each other.

Heres my thinking...

Ive seen a stock '06 Z06 run 7.1's in the 1/8th on drag radials. So, a stock '06 Z06 + street tires + T-Bone driving = 7.6's in the 1/8th. Jimmys best time in the 1/8th is a 7.6. Sounds like a good race to me. :dunno:
In the 1/4 the Z06 will win unless T-Bone screws up or Jimmy is sandbagging. :2cents:

On street tires, I've got my cash on Jimmy in the 1/8th. Drivers race in the 1/4.

It's a lot harder to botch the launch in a Sy/Ty than it is in a ZO6. Nerve ends tingling in the ZO6 leads to copious amounts of wheelspin, tire smoke, and no movement.
