TwinTurboV8Ty said:Either way I can plan to suck the paint off the side of it for you.
:rotf: :haha:T-Bone said:Oh, I see. Designing it to be advantageous to you, eh. Well, you might wanna race me for 30 feet then.......and I don't do ricer flyby's but you'll think I started to when I roar by at about the 35 foot mark and you get sucked into my backdraft IF you get a perfect launch. Would you like the 4 ways on as well? You know, I am pretty easy to get along with.
Jimmy: said:The "pig" race I stayed WOT for a 1/2 mile, speedo bouncing off the 120 peg, because I KNEW that as soon as I let off you would come flying by me in that SRT-10. I made you shut down at 135 cause I was still pulling. You KNOW for a fact if I would have skidded to a stop sideways that you woulda flown by me and "won".
No disrespect for the Z06,but with my little old 400 HP 4K pound V6 Blazer, I think the track is the only place I should run you.
T-Bone said:Ya know, let me be honest. I waited until YOU were at full boost and until you beeped YOUR spout 3 times and let you leave first. It should have been blatantly obvious to you on a 40 degree day that I wasn't seriously gonna try to walk the dog on your Typhoon in those conditions. I stayed back on purpose because (1) you had my son in your truck and I didn't want you crashing trying to reel me in and (2) because I wanted to see how long you would talk smack about it. I can see now what I will have to endure for the next 50 years.
Don't start whining about your lil old 400 HP 4,000 blazer. You sparked this debate in public....we will run them in public. Trust me, you'll regret running it at the track when I keep you spooling while I play around between partial and full stage, listening to your turbo overheating and FWIW, I don't run on 1/8 mile tracks....sissy's do. We'll continue this at Bowling Green so your fan club can be on ground to console you after the run
Jimmy said:I forfeit.
If more people will kindly put money on Jimmy and paypal the funds to a neutral party (or one of the mods), we can run and I can look at it like getting a refund on my purchase, thanks to the SyTy community. I doubt the track will make a difference either. A stock 2006 is on youtube running a 11.07 in the 1/4 on street tires !! Jimmy is quick but he isn't that quick...especially at Bowling Green. I know the economy is not looking good but you guys can find some money to throw out there on Jimmy if he decides to run. After a complimentary ride, he might never go up against me :dunno:
What's the fastest timeslip for any car you've ever owned and personally raced on that particular timeslip, T-Bone?
Hmmm, probably a 18.48 in a 1970 Nova (250 straight 6 with a 2 speed powerglide) so the advantage will definately swing to Jimmy. How much money would you like to put on the line given that statistic.
As a disclaimer: I am getting old and sometimes get my times / cars confused.
It's a lot harder to botch the launch in a Sy/Ty than it is in a ZO6. Nerve ends tingling in the ZO6 leads to copious amounts of wheelspin, tire smoke, and no movement.
