    FS: Chrome Plated Stock Wheels

$160 w/ the tires $200 w/o the tires I no longer have my truck, so I no longer have any use for these. They are a full set of chrome plated stock wheels. They are far far from perfect. I know a couple of them are bent. The chrome on them is blistering a little. One is very discolored...

Ouch! Wheel shop bent me over...

Re: Ouch! Wheel shop bent me over... Yeah, I remember running into that problem with a few different wheels with the fingers. But it really isn't necessary to use it, since the stock wheels are hub centric. I do remember using an adaptor plate that you bolt onto the wheel, and it slides onto...

Ouch! Wheel shop bent me over...

Re: Ouch! Wheel shop bent me over... Yeah, that's the lazy ass method of balancing a tire, a static balance. Wheels today need to be balance dynamically, especially one that wide. It's like balancing only one end of a driveshaft, totally pointless. I used to work for America's/Discount Tire...

Ouch! Wheel shop bent me over...

Re: Ouch! Wheel shop bent me over... Royally screwed. I agree, 20 bucks should have been the case, regardless of what kind of tires they are. If they're competent, it should be cake for them, and take them 10 minutes to do. Low profile tires are easy if you know how to mount them correctly...

    Nice wheels.....

Re: Nice wheels..... I was just thinking the same thing. At least get something fairly decent than some $40 M+S crappers. Fikse's are freakin' awesome, though. $1500 for the wheels alone would be a good price.

    beware AGR steering boxes

Re: beware AGR steering boxes I'm thinking I was the only one that didn't have a problem with mine. Well, except for the horrid power steering hissing noise, but that didn't really bug me much.

White TY seen in Spanawy, wa

Re: White TY seen in Spanawy, wa I see plenty around here. I've seen 2 different Sy's in Federal Way, one in Tacoma, perhaps the same white Ty in Tacoma as well. I've seen a few of everything in Seattle, not forgetting to mention myself. We're all around here.

    2008 Washington Autocrossing

Re: 2008 Washington Autocrossing Any SCCA region should allow Sy/Ty's. If they tell you otherwise, you can show them the rulebook where it has Sy/Ty's listed in F Stock. BTW, preregistration closes at 6pm on Friday, so if anyone else is interested, preregister and save yourself 10 bucks.

    2008 Washington Autocrossing

I forgot (<-excuse, was actually too lazy) to mention about the new autocross season last month when it actually started. Any of you guys in the Sea/Tac area, or even better yet, Kitsap County want to get into some autocrossing, I'll be chairing the next BSCC event on April 13th at Bremerton...

Best line heard when launching someone?

Re: Best line heard when launching someone? This is what happens with me. Most of the time, when I give people rides in my truck, it's while I'm autocrossing. I'll launch it at the start line, and about 80% of the time, they'll hit their head on my rear window. Usually it's not followed by...

Washington State Typhoon / Syclone owners

Re: Washington State Typhoon / Syclone owners If you drive around in Port Orchard alot, you may see me driving around here and there. My parents live there, and it's where I grew up, so I'm over there about every other weekend. Since you live so close, when you finish your truck, you should...

Nervous as hell about Road Racing this April!

Re: Nervous as hell about Road Racing this April! It's gonna break! They always do! But many times, it's worth it! I took mine on the track one day. I repeatedly had the downpipe burn up a spark plug wire for most of the sessions. I spent most of the day trying to keep that from...

I Got a Kick Out of This

So, last Sunday, I was an instructor for an autocross school. During lunch time, I decided to take a few runs in my truck. As I was pulling through the pits towards the start, supposively there was a group of students watching me drive by. And supposively one of them said "What the F@#$ does...
